EA never get's the ratings right though. You're going to have a shooter that can't shoot, a PG that can't dribble etc, so you're probably going to have to edit to some degree whether you want to or not.

While I agree that Darko is underrated, the difference between Fortson and Darko is that Fortson has proven himself in the league. When Darko averages over 10rpg, they'll give him a rating of 70. Fortson, during most of the 04-05 season and before it was known as one of the better inside defenders and rebounders in the league. He didnt block a lot of shots but he never gave anyone an easy layup. It wasn't until late in the 2005 season when he started to slip up because of horrible foul problems and then in the 05-06 season he was hurt most of the year and fell out of favor with the new coach.

Darko I think this season will prove that he deserves better ratings than Fortson, but just so far in this league Fortson has proven himself ten times over compared to Darko, and he hasnt gotten significant enough playing time recently to warrant dramatically lowering his ratings.

A) J. O'Neal hasn't been healthy enough the past 2-3 seasons to be better than Bosh.

B) He's the frikkin cover athlete. You think he's not going to get some lovin'?

I swear, I think some of you guys bitch just to bitch. They could release pics of the 2 head Producers and inevitably someone would say, "Jeez, 2K7 Producer look better much than Live Producer. EA don't know what they doing!! "

Maybe the higher the teamwork value is, the less teamwork those players actually have. LOL. So they were actually right with those ratings.

Warped logic. Oh well, that's what we get.

:P

Thu Sep 21, 2006 12:38 am

What of those ratings will be on PC version ?

Thu Sep 21, 2006 12:49 am

im lokoing at the knicks and almost every rating is way off.. Nate Robinson Max Speed 80???? wtf?!?!? hes top 5 fastest player in the league... Jamal Crawfords Clutch is a 44!!! ARE YOU KIDDING? He has hit like 15 buzzer beaters in the past 2 years! come on!... I don't see one rating that IS one point ... pretty much every one of these is obserd!.......... I am definately going to heavily Edit these ratings if they are anything like this current gen

Thu Sep 21, 2006 12:54 am

Get your hand out of your vagina. omg u can fix it yoself if u dun lyk it!??!!??!!?!!?!? wtf!?!?!?

Thu Sep 21, 2006 1:03 am

sigh.. 2k7's ratings are so much more accurate... some things are off but they are at least editable!!!! With these you have to basically create your own ratings!..

I Really dont love how 2k series plays and prefer live but im seriously concidering a change :?

It took me a while to get used to 2k6's controls and its team play > player domination-esque style but the shot stick is absolute genious.

yeah i was playing the 360 demo and couldnt figure out how to do crossovers and stuff that you can do in live with the right analog stick. Im not sure they have those moves. That game is pretty good, i just dont like the jumper animation...they look like they lean in too much.

Thu Sep 21, 2006 1:17 am

i dont know how the hell kirk hinrich gets a 78 clutch rating , when he has never hit a clutch shot in his life , then you go and give a guy that is very clutch in jamal crawford a 44 ,( the ratings are to far off in my opinion, they should have done alot better .) :(

To do crossovers and shit, you have to hold the aggresive modifiers and move the left analogue stick around. I think its L+R + Left on Left Stick does crossover and same if you turn it right.

Man, you've posted this 10 times. Once, ok, twice, and you're getting excessive. But I feel like in every thread you're saying how you're not sure if you want to 'make a change' or something. Do whatever you want, but I'm tired of hearing about it.

Yeah it is sort of another name for turbo. But one of them can be used to back down, the other is turbo and both together is super turbo.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Off-Topic but this is the NLSC.

As long as they made Darko a very good shot blocker, there's not much else they were obligated to do. Fortson might not get PT, but the guy is a beast rebounder for his minutes, get's to the line, and can score (not in iso, but he can finish and get points). Darko is a better shot blocker, better defender against the quick PF's, he's actually quite good, and offensively he has skills in the post and can shoot, but he's only proven he's like a 11 PPG scorer with starters minutes, so that's nothing to brag about. Also he's only about a 6 RPG guy with starters minutes because 1) he's not that great a rebounder, and 2) he plays on the same team as Dwight Howard.

i cant believe that bosh is netter then j oneal

They probably made Bosh good on defense, most people seem to assume he can defend well. Bosh is about an equal, and more efficient offensive player, doesn't have the post game, but he's a better shooter from the field and line, and has a better face up game. He's also a better passer and doesn't turn the ball over as much.

Oh I just checked and it's only a 1 rating difference, I thought maybe JO was like 83 or something, after the defense is adjusted, it should be fine. I was just looking at all the ratings, and wow, this can really make the game so much more realistic. Some things like fighting through screens for a guy like Iverson who as soon as you throw some screens out there his defensive intensity just drops, it really changes the game if they work properly.

Another thing I love is that they seperated speed with and without the ball. There are some big men that can run faster than many guards, but just not with the ball in the hands.

What I've always liked to do is look at what players should be the top guys in each rating.

I took out the ones that seem like cumulative ones, so overall, defense, offense, and I also took out the FSS ones. That's a lot of ratings. EA just needs to higher someone that knows about the NBA. If I did this, the complain amounts would reduce 95%, and it would be mostly (not all) just be the people that think their favourite player owns the league complaining. If they did that, it would be a lot better for us, I want to edit the ratings to have the players being like their real life counterparts, but I don't have this much time. With the time I have it will take me like a year to do this.
