Courtside 2002 was the shiznit, at the time I had it :o . I've still got it though.

My cash is on Paul Pierce, I'm 100% convinced it is going to be him.

I loved how the players got up and went to the scorers table when you call for a sub. And the crossovers were great, and arcade mode was the shit. But I hated playing a sim game and Doug Christie comes down the lane and does a 360 in traffic. (N)

yes, some of the animations were....questionable.
about the subs going to the bench, it wasnt until live 2005 that you could even sub before the whistle blew. talk about being behind. you should try playing arcade with tiny players...now that is teh pwn.

Last year (or 2004), the demonstrations were done with T-Mac and Yao. Neither of them ended up on the cover.

There was some announcement about Lebron James signing with EA, so he'd be the most likely candidate.

Yea, in 2004 the first previews featured McGrady and Ming, and then on the cover there was Carter.
Then in 2005, the first previews featured Carter, Garnett and Davis, yet on the cover was Carmelo.
So the first previews are hardly something to put too much emphasis on.

^By the way, it didn't say that LeBron had signed with EA, just that they were "in the talks" about it.

If they're in the talks about it, than they'll probably make Leron sign with them as a coverboy.

I see LeBron on the cover next year

reason:
2005 - Melo
06 - Wade
(07 - Lebron)

lemme revive this semi-dead thread. For those who think Kobe will be a good choice, simply because on the cover, it will have him as #8, but the very next season he is already gonna be 24. Then again, he can just wear his new jersey when posing for the game.

I heard the three guys they were considering were: Shawn kemp (fat version) , Oldass Penny hardaway and my main guy Isiah "pothead AKA hothead" Rider

on a serious note:
It would be weird for it to be T-mac, cause he sucked pretty much ass last year along with the rockets.
Lebron could be great and this would be a great time for it. I mean Carmelo got it in his rookie year for gods sake. (or am i mistaken)
A guy like Nowitzki or Chris Paul could also be it.

I personally think it could be Chris Paul.......mark my words..........CHRIS PAUL!

I'm sorry guys but you all are a bunch of haters !!! T-Mac deserves to be on the cover ! That guy has been the best stimulation for the rockets in years, he wants to play at 100% but all the injuries ruined that. We all saw that every game after he came on the court after his injuries he scored more than 35 points !!! I'm shure that next year the rockets are going in the playoffs and if all the players are healthy ... they'll ROCK.
I shure hope that EA SPORTS would take Tracy McGrady for the cover !

i wouldnt say he doesnt have mass appeal, he obviously has some fans to win the mvp 2 times in a row, he is probally the most popular player to come out of canada (thats where they make the game). i think they would sell just as many if not more copies of the game with nash on the cover as they did with d wade.

I am going to place my bet on the current trend - A young talented player getting the cover - Chris Paul possibly

But meh - "The 2007 cover has been narrowed down to nine possible candidates: Tracy McGrady, Gilbert Arenas, Elton Brand, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, Allen Iverson, LeBron James, Shawn Marion, and Paul Pierce." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Live
