i have anthor thing to add if anyone has played nba 06 the life there are all types of drills such as clean up and clean if i am correct there are a number of balls on the ground and there are numbers on them some of them are worth 1 point then theres worth 2 points 3 points and max is 4 points and tht is a really fun drill that u can play and there are all other types and i say those should be added if ea knows the drills :? but nba 06 was very realistic and i think ea should consider getting nba fans attetion with real stuff not like 06,05,04 coz those dont seem tht really and tht i think is most due to graphics so they should consider makin em way better coz these days computers are amazing at practically anything if there from the year 2005,2006 and ps2 and all the old crap is out of date so hello xbox 360 and ps3 with amzing graphics so it is possible because if nba 06 had amzing graphics on ps2 then just think about xbox 360 and ps3 o in fact those of u who hve xbox 360 and hve nba live 06 on it i think u know wat im talkin about if not then well ull figure it out coz once nba live 07 is out ur wishs might be to late

Gameplay/AI

Ability to save passed going out of bounds like save ball while in mid air and pass to teammate or throw at opponent so it will go out of bounds.

Ability to pass backcourt if already over the half out line and ability to pass alley-oops during in bounding the ball.

Ability to use playmaker type passes to alley-oop

Training camp in season like madden 06 super star modes.

Better and realistic juke moves for Guards as well as Big Men

Roster Management

Ability to make player arms longer then they should be.

Well all of my ideas have been already said but theres one that im pretty sure i didnt see here :
We shoul;d be able to switch the superstar type during halftime.. cause it will be too overpowering if some superstar had all the skills (like dwaye wade) so i think a good solution will be the ability to change it during half time.. or maybe even after each quarter...
great list btw.. i hope they use it!

Okay, Andrew...

As the top 10-15 wishes, you should concentrate on the gameplay and the dynasty parts...

I really hope we will get something new for the next game instead of the same with a different flavor... I mean, the dynasty hasn't really come that far from the 1999 or 2000 version of the beast. The scouting and training thing was new on 2004... So its about time to get something new for 2007.

The new things could be extensions of the previous stuff... Like adding team/player chemistry to the dynasty. That's a really big one.

Coach hiring/firing would be nice. So Phil Jackson brings something else to the table than Larry Brown or Jeff Van Gundy or Nate McMillan. The coaches should be hired just like the other staff.

Trading block and rumor mill... Players on the block and players laying out their future plans would be nice to see. If you have the option to sign or not to sign some big contract during the off-season it would be nice to know the plans of some of the players in their final contract years.

And make it so that the players in your team can refuse to sign with you during the off-season. It's a shame, but adds some realism to it all. This could and should be closely related to the team chemistry. So if the chemistry is low, the players would be asking for more money and more likely to refuse signing with you and in a team with high chemistry, they would accept less money to stay playing with the great team they've been playing for.

Owner could comment on the chemistry during the season. Making suggestions about improving chemistry or that the chemistry is working great. Or maybe the assistant coach.

At the start of the off-season, the owner could give his list of "demands" for the player. Like I'd really like to see "roster player" to be signed to a new contract. Or we need a good defensive guard etc. So you would have some guidelines to proceed for the draft and trading. This could work for the "staff budget". If you have made improvements that the owner wished for, you would get more money to hire asssistant coaches, trainers, scouts and coaches... And less money if the owner is unsatisfied with your progress during the off-season... One request could be, that the team is not working, try to remake the team during the off-season... And thus making you trade players to keep the owner happy.

Also the coach could make some demands too...

I just want to see more of that "cause-and-effect" relations between owner, gm, coaching staff, players... It would add a lot to the dynasty mode...

In the gameplay zone... It would be most beneficial for the game and us users that the sliders would have a more dramatic effect! Like adjusting something from almost impossible to almost every time event. Like shooting at 5% to 95% or never getting a steal and almost always getting a steal. It would allow us players to mold the game to our liking and thus getting more realistic results for our own style of play...

I trust that EA will again make the game pleasing to the eye and fix a whole bunch of graphical glitches etc. But dynasty really needs a breath of fresh air...

So Andrew, you could go with a lot of dynasty requests for the top-15 improvement list.

I agree. EA has a way of taking things OUT for the newer games. Like in 01 you had that development chart and could save in a game. In 04 you had those cutscenes, now gone. And in live 06 360, no dynasty!!! Just give me live 04 with a more realistic look and a roster update??

Hopefully i'm not too late but here's a couple of things i would like to see in the next Live (oddly enough, a few of these can be found, sorta, in nba 2k6):

- Player Tendencies - do they prefer to shoot, drive, play the paint, etc. Really give the game more realism, especially on the sim and the AI end of things. Also will give meaning for the "scout next opponent" function, along with.....

- Hot and cold streaks shown, possibly can be related to how well your coaching staff is. IE better assistant coaches, the easier it is to tell who is hot/cold.

- Help defence shouldn't recover so quickly. At least it seems to me that everytime you drive and dishout to shoot, the guy that sags off the shooter to cover the driver gets an extra boost to get back on their defender. Possibly link this to the defensive awareness and the quickness stat, and speakign of which

- Players when using the turbo/run button should need to gain momentum before hitting full speed. The higher the quickness rating, the faster they get to top speed. This will facilitate many things including fast breaks, when you catch the other team flatfooted.

- Rookie players created for the Drafts, These guys have to be MUCH more realistic. Coming into the draft, many of the players available already are either very athletic, so speed/quickness/jump/endurance etc are already at quite a high level, and for PF/C their strength. THis is more or less true for the whole 2 rounds in the draft, so seeing a player picked in the mid/late second round should still have these stats at a quite decent/good level, but the rest of the basketball-related stats could be questionable.

- Player Development, the way particular stats improve given the training program needs to be tweeked. Like endurance should improve much faster (depending on the position and the player) so a rookie, if given a good amount of minutes in his first season, and trains during the offseason should have a good level of endurance by season 2. Also you should be able to get the coach to work on a player's individual part of his game, ie shooting/3pt/inside moves/rebounding/parimeter d/inside d instead of the general catagory "offence" or "defence". And have their conditioning separate from their 'game training'.

- Seasonal stamina - While the stamina during individual games is already there, their overall stamina from game to game should be affected by how many minutes they play game in and game out. For example, a player with medium endurance is played on a 5 game road trip for extended minutes (30+ minutes). They WILL get tired by at least game 4-5 and this should show and be affected in how head coaches ' starting lineup/substitution patterns.

- Rebounding and ball/near the net physics - This really needs to be fixed and no amount of stat adjustments or slider adjustments will mean anythign if this isn't addressed. The ball shouldn't be sucked into a player's hands, and this 'sucking effect' is, i would say, cause for much of the fustration in this department. The player who gets the best position on the boards and can get 2 hands (1 hand sometimes) on the ball should get the rebound. So on the boards, you're going to need to make the C/PF fight for position in the post to get the rebound. And if the're fighting for the rebound, they won't be able to catch an inbound pass, vice versa.

- Freethrow - Can you please just make the freethrow system like the 2k6 one, this cross bullshit is really annoying. But that's just me.

How about CAPs actually having faces in their bios?!! I played NCAA Football on Xbox and created players and they had like photos of the players faces and always thought why doesn't Live have that. Another great thing would be to have create a coach. That can add more flavor to the dynasty mode. I love the Live series and bought almost every addition of Live but 2006. They really need to improve the game. It makes no sense for 2004 to look better than 2005. But whatever..they gonna make money off hype regardless.

Stats that wouldn't appear in the stat sheet (ex. consecutive games with 30+, most average point against one team, games where defense held the opponent under 100 points). When you tie a record your name should appear there too.

If you're gonna have the HOF...please have it saved with the Franchise file and not the Settings file.

They have said they take an interest in our suggestions and the Wishlist and it would appear they've had an effect in years gone by, though it's debateable as to whether some improvements/additions were the influence of the Wishlist or the natural progression of the game, such as the concept of having a multi-season mode that became Franchise/Dynasty Mode.

There Are so many problems with 06, and alot of them are the same as 05.. but theres jsut one thing i want to say

when the ball is going out of bounds and ur runnin to get it.. and when u touch it ur out of bounds.. i hate that :x .. they should add something where u can jump out of bounds and throw the ball back in.. because real NBA players dont just run for the ball and if its out of bounds say "oh well".. they jump out and throw it in before hitting the ground :!: :!:

Same style of layups and dunks kill the game, same blocks same crossover spins- all the things are same,Live06 is far far away from reality!


I want a variable animation system. For instance, when going for a layup, instead of pressing the dunk/layup button again to adjust the shot, utilize the right analog for mid-air maneuvers, like pressing down in mid air will cause you to double clutch, pressing up will give you a finger roll or high arc layup, pressing left with the ball in your right hand will switch hands, and pressing right while the ball is in your right hand will be avoiding a block. Of course, you should be able to combine them. They can call it Freestyle Superstar Air.

Freestyle control should have more combos like double taps and streetfighter/mortal kombat type combos. Bad ballhandlers should have slower, less fancy dribbling moves while better ballhandlers should have quicker, fancier moves.

I would like to see the pro hop modified to allow you to pick up the dribble while on the move and start your two steps, maybe when your press turbo. From there you have a choice of passing or shooting, or traveling.

Add a sweat layer(for glistening/wet look) to players based on fatigue/time played, and sweat particles for dripping sweat.

When you are closing the passing lanes, the AI of the computer players should be smarter and make cuts to the basket, or when a player is open cross court, the ballhandler should drive in the lane and kick it to him or make multiple passes around the perimiter to get the ball to the open player. Summary:better off ball movement from the computer AI.

Implement the Havok physics engine(or make their own), and tweak the ragdoll effects, combine it with collision animations to create more realistic and variable collisions.

-hey..i think its a great idea...its like ur saying that they should remove the entire stamina system because anyone can set fatigue sliders to 0 anyway..and also..this is Nba live not Nba streets...

That's not what the list is saying at all. The wish is for Freestyle Superstars to be more of a drain on stamina so you can't abuse them, not to remove Fatigue.

The FSS move drains your stamina was my idea 8-)

All it is, if I can explain it properly, maybe in bold size 24

When you use a freestyle button, FOR E.G. you get J.R. Smith to do a Highflyer dunk over somebody, His stamina bar should decrease MORE than it does if he just did a normal button dunk

-Fix the damn bugs/errors in the pc version (coz im not sure if the other consoles have that)

~bring back some simple dunks, no active feet movement in flight, straight hands in flight, simple reverse dunk (try to reach with one-hand or pump or 2 hands etc...)
~the 3point line border....
~my nba live settings (the shoes i bought i cudnt wear, retired jersey wasnt there)
~All nba players shud be included with their portraits
~And i attempted a 3pt shot it wasnt gonna go in but wen Chris Bosh jump he blocked it... YES the CPU block a 3pt shot

-add cutscenes (option to turn them off for people that dont like cutscenes, includes cutscenes in all situations)
-add player reactions after something good happend
-the engine is more of the nba live 2003 right? its hard to adjust
-bring back the backdown/boxout control in pc version

just hope that eA would do something about the overlyused,overlyabused and overlyunstoppable FSS..and i hope not to see guys like shaq and ben wallace on all fours because they were overpowered by guys like bosh and Howard...make it more realistic...make NBA live just like Live NBA...

and another thing.... No charge zone is a no charge zone....

i don't know if this has been posted, but the player progression should take into account the number of minutes a players plays on the court, sort of experience factor (that is why coaches play their benches come garbage time for their players, especially rookies to gain experience). this is most important for players with a lot of potential.

i mentioned that... and yeah no charge zone is a no charge zone... and try to add more commentaries, if possible for all even the created, and for the next seasons (new commentarties for next seasons and be parallel to the event eg. if pistons won the finals in 06 season next season commentators will talk bwt the pistons performance etc...)
