Hmm, I tried other alternatives but it sill doesn't work, so it looks like I'm really done for now.
But thanks for the comments guys, that was a really nice surprise for me seeing as how I'm not on the same level as all the experienced patchers here...And I'll most likely be there for '08.

Ya man...or it might be something wrong with your CD-ROM..I have a suggestion that might work... since you have 2 computers try and replace the CD-ROM from your offline computer with the one from the online PC...Don't worry...nothing wrong it's gonna happen...I did this many times with 100% success

I checked and apparently, there's many problems with this program under Vista, and other programs of that type. It caused some severe crashes and shit...

Well, my DVD drive works with everything else now that I've used a restore point, it really has to be the Live DVD and possibly a conflict with Vista when trying to reinstall.
And my other PC is a laptop, so that's probably gonna be an issue...

That would make sense I guess, I've had a bunch of trouble ever since I got it...
But the thing is, I've installed Vista when it came out as the start of a major hardware upgrade. I'm buying new parts one by one to have a crazy ass machine that handles the newest Vista-compatible games at the highest settings. To me, it's more important than just focusing on one game like Live, which looks like it could have been released 2 or 3 years ago compared to the most recent games.
Hopefully, Live 08 will also be a real improvement over the last one, so I prefer to look forward to that.
I've loved this series for many years but honestly, I'd rather be "ready" for Crysis or Bioshock than having to reinstall XP at this point...

el badman, you could try a dual boot configuration and choose to boot up XP or Vista when you start your computer.

Pdub's suggestion is a good one, have two operating systems so that older programs can still be used on your rig.

And if you're gonna do some Crysis, you might have a high-standard unit there

Can't seem to find my XP CD... Either way, I already sold Live 07...

el badman, delete autorun.ini in drive c:... or you could search 'autoplay in my drivec:'..... i think you ahve a 'Fsdlls.exe' virus.. not sure if that's the correct one..

Here are two updated links for all my tats (I believe), and of course you need Pdub 2X arms patch (don't forget to replace the original plyrtat.viv with his updated one) to make it work. And yes they all work in 08.
