Jimmy's Gameplayfix 9.7 RSLD//DONE FOR 07

After a week of testing jimmy's patch i like to thank you first for making this patch. It improves the Game alot.

But somehow the game doesn't feel like a real basketball game. There are still a few things...


What i think what needs to be improve:
General:
- The dunking frequency and dominance is way too high. Samuel Dalembert or some mediocre-Center becomes a monster under the rim. When you get him under the rim, the only thing that can stop him from dunking is a bad dunking. Inside Dunking is too dominant.
Here some suggestions which have to be tested.
If User gets closer to the basket, more players are involved in the action, the turnovers needs to increase. Therefore user dont penetrate that often to get under the basket.
CPU:
RAISE Interception Ability
RAISE On-ball defensive assist
RAISE physical defense

Center and Power Forwards "in general" can't dribble in Post Position Face-2-Face and trying a crossover to beat the opponent. Let them have more turnovers if they start to dribble in the paint or in post when you have defenders around them. If you wanna dribble you HAVE to backdown to protect the ball.
LOWER the dribbling ability for most Big Men

- We need alot more Inside Move Shots in the Paint from Players like Tim Duncan. The Post Position needs to be a Menace, where the outer-defenders are going to be forced to go for the double. Right now the double team comes but without a reason because the post player isnt a threat, so why double him? The post player becomes a threat by "Outdribbling" the opponent. That's not realistic.

Good post players needs more advantage towards their defenders in the post, so the double team needs to come. Make good post-players be a menace without "outdribbling", better "outshooting" in the post.
RAISE Inside Shot in the rosters

CPU:
- Needs more shots from midrange.
- Less Shots from Penetrations. In Reality we have Penetrations but alot of shots come from a penetrate-n-dish situation. Here we have just penetrate-n-shot situations.

- Decrease the amount and ability of dunkings. Yes, Wade can do 360 Dunkings but 10 times in a game? That's way too much. The good highflyers can keep their abilities but my suggestion would be lowering the dunking abilities for the majority of the players.

In general my result of the testing is: Get the game IN THE ZONE more realistic. Better Inside Shots from the offense and Better team defense in the paint. Less dunkings and more shots in the paint. Scoring right under the rim has to be physical and tough.

have you install it in the correctly?

it is becoz MOST/SOME of your problem you experienced are gone in 7.5 if you installed it correctly

e.g. playmaps.dbf must in x:\program files\.....\database\origdb\
and then delete the whole database folder in my documents\nba live 07\

jimmy ur patches run on xbox 360 and ps2? how to patch them if it run

i dont know if ps2 or xbox360 games can be patche or moded like with computer games, can anyone answer it? if consoles games can be patched or moded maybe ill buy one on next future

jimmys patch doesnt work for ps2 or xbox 360. i think those platforms are unmoddable

Jimmy, can you or someone upload a copy of the entire database folder, when I deleted it like you said, it didn't make a copy, and now all the files from it are gone, my live doesn't work now.

i told you clearly that delete the database folder in MY DOCUMENT\NBA LIVE 07

but NOT in your game directory!!!!

all the files you need are in your game DVD

in readme of 7.5 fix but it does have no changes man.

in addition some dunks are not here from the original but except it

always follow instruction in page one!

Hey you were right Jimmy. I installed your patch wrong. Not complete. Now i have it done right. First test with Superstar 12 minutes was really nice.

I will test one or more weeks now with Superstar 12 minutes. Will give Feedback in 1-2 weeks.

And i found that CPU can move faster than me running while they just dribble the ball normaly. Pls. fix this and make it run faster both offense and deffense
And the PG dominace still here I didn't change anything on gameplay.
Game speed at 39.....I'm like watching CPU PG playing against the other team CPU PG.


1 more thing for the settings.dat where is that???? I don't see that on your gamefix file. The only similar thing are settingslightingon and settingslightingoff...

Are you talking about the PS2 aiact file or the 7.5 file...

And about the settings, you have to extract either the settingslighton (if you want lighting on, or seetinglightoff (if you don't want to use lighting)...Which ever one you extract, it will be settings.dat

Jimmy any idea if you could snag the xbox (current gen) lit5on5.urb? Just because the xbox version has different lighting than the ps2 or pc versions.

I mean cmon, just look at those jersey shadows

yesterday i just tried to use the lighting of PS 2 version , but it suck, the lighting even worse than the PC's
