ive had enough with this crappy game..im not a computer nerd so im just not gonna read through all this in order to play a realistic basketball game (not that i would understand anything anyway)
Even if these fixes improve the game you still see plenty of people complaining.
What fools you are, keep blowing money up EA's stinky asses, especially the big faggot bigh0rt who acts like EA's little sissy boy.
Damn i wish i had played a pirated version of this game in the first place...this game really deserves to be cracked.
Anyway im gon return this piece of junk and get my 50 bucks back.
Ill get a priated version of next years live and if it rocks then well im still gonna use the pirated version haha buhaha in ya face ea fags

First post. 2007 was the first live game I got since '93 I believe. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew of these horrendous bugs. Gamespot/IGN said there were some but didn't list them all out like in the front page of this site. My fault whatever.

Anyways, I heard about your patch and tried it out. It has worked wonders in improving how the AI plays. I finally see KG doing more than Markic Jaric. (Y)

One question I have is how well does this fix work for Dynasty mode. Given the large amount of FA signings and superstar trades will primacy still be messed up and will plays no longer make sense. For example, the Lakers have a high reliance on SG play. If Kobe gets traded or leaves as an free agent, will the Lakers now use Sasha Vujacic in that role and end up throwing bricks up like crazy. Even if the Lakers get a top notch center in their roster, will the Lakers still be focused on plays for the SG and totally ignore the center.

Jimmy any idea if you could snag the xbox (current gen) lit5on5.urb? Just because the xbox version has different lighting than the ps2 or pc versions.

I mean cmon, just look at those jersey shadows (Y)
Opinions are my own.

I might be wrong but i think that shading has something to do with the actual model shape of the xbox jerseys. It seems like its alot more detailed and the shorts actually move a little in that version like they did in 05. I hope the xbox lit50n5 does improve it tho.

Xbox version has 512*512 jerseys (we can edit the files but they shouldn't work if we plug them into the PC version)
the jersey texture itself has absolutely no wrinkles or shading on it, the shading effect you see is done entirely by the normal/alpha for the jersey.

there used to be a topic in the 06 sections about this but it seems to have been purged or something

hmmm i get wat you mean. Tho if the xbox jerseys are in 512 then wouldnt the numbers for them be in a higher res aswell? So would that make it easier for jersey patchers to convert numbers by extracting them so they can be compatible with 512 jersey patches?

another thing i noticed about the xbox jerseys is that the player names arent floating an inch away from their jerseys. Im not sure whether importing the models from the xbox version would make a difference seeing as theres that whole model detail option in the pc version that would be absent in the console ones.

well these are just some things ive been contemplating..

hopefully if the lit5on5 works then the rest could possibly follow

Hi Jimmy,
thank your for the fix..but i think that the game speed to 39 is to low..the players go too slow and also with turbo seems to walk..the better solution for a 8min superstar game for me is to set the speed to 55..but with this settings the pg dominance returns..you think that there is a solution for this problem?
the new work over the ps2 aiact can help me?

Ok I've tested EA's Standard gameplay setup, Jimmy's gameplay fix 7.5 + his roster update 2.8 and Revolutions gameplay fix...and Jimmy's give me the best results by far.

I've played around 25 games (10 min quarters) always with Bulls vs Dallas,San Antonio, Miami to test the behaviour of the superstar Power Forwards, Centers etc. (most of the time played vs. Dallas)

And only with Jimmy's fixes (with just some minor slider tweaks) Dirk Nowitzki had almost always around 23 points at least taking 2 superstar 3 point shots combined with some medium range shots and nice post ups..and yeah i do think that teams.dbf, playmap.dbf etc have an impact.
Even though Revolution's aiact has some nice moves it is still too flawed (running animation, PG takes a hook instead of a layup and I use backdown stick to play better defense which somehow has been removed by Revolution) and has never given me the same experience as Jimmy's fixes
Finally the superstar PFs and Centers act like go to guys at least more than they did before (Y)

=========================================
Instruction:
my setting.dat/slider only work in exhibition game..

since season/dynasty etc do not use the setting.dat(or saved in somewhere).. to use my included slider in season, you need to start a new season/dynasty, so that they save the slider in the season/playoff/dynasty...........

NOT TRUE! all you need to do is copy and paste ur new setting file into the pre-existing dynasty folder....
