Subs are not working for me, however, the point guard domination issue has been resolved.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 12:56 pm
YO, i copied and paste the link and it works! but i haven't gotten the chance to RUN the game so i dunno if the patch really fixed things up or not.. can anyone confirm there's substitutions now?

Use common sense and back your stuff up before you do anything here. I never use CD-cracks cause of this. Is it that hard to put a 2 ounce plastic disc in a tray? Lazy turds, lol.
It should still work.

fatigue effect only works with stamina bar "on"
Tue Oct 24, 2006 12:58 pm
maceo24 you don't have anything to worry about this is EA's ftp server if they had a virus or something in their trust me they would be on the news a lot more than they were because of the bugs.. and advice to people who can't get the patch to install for me it was because i downloaded court textures, etc from this site so it somehow interfered with my .viv files I suggest everyone with the problem just reinstall and see if it works thats your best bet. If that doesn't work you probably have a deeper problem.

I have the dvd version of the game, not the downloaded one!
Problem is still there, maybe this is the downloaded version patch only
I wish it was, buddy.

I have the EA Downloader version and I will state that I do not have a NO CD-Crack installed nor has the nbalive07.exe file been altered in any shape or form.
I just did a fresh reinstall from EA Downloader and that did not remedy the problem. As I said previously, I'm changing install locations to see what the executable for the patch does then.

Patch working great for me. I've got the direct passing fixed, both cpu and human auto subbing (with slider), and fatigue on/off option.

What is the size of your nbalive.exe file? There seems to be a checksum on that file (explaining why the no-cd version does not work) and it should be 10,493,915 bytes.

n3ts3x0r - I will tell you once my new installation to a different directory finishes.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:06 pm
patch working for me too. PG doesn't seem to over run the game, CPU does sub, and as an added bonus, they even activate the X-factor in the 4th quarter. a much more playable and enjoyable game now.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:08 pm
My nbalive.exe has 10.492.884 bytes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But that's the original dvd exe file! I just reinstall the game and never used any no cd crack!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in Brazil and I belive our live version is the Europe one! Any one with the same problem?

patch works for me(dvd version). i was hoping for some last minute additions but seems like the issues resolved are the same. i also noticed that it turned off the shot clock in my settings so you guys might want to check that.

It may perform a checksum on other files for all I know, but it will likely not install if your nbalive.exe file is anything other than 10,493,915 bytes. My no-cd modified nbalive.exe gave an error. I proceeded to copy the original nbalive.exe (which is 10,493,915 bytes) from my store-bought copy, and it allowed the patch to install. Other altered files may have the same affect as well.
Keep in mind, however, that this patch may not be fully complete considering that EA has not formally anounced it to the public. There is always the possibility that a completed patch would remedy this issue.

Thats what I needed, lol. On my way to install now.
@ mobius - I think in the back of my mind i knew not to worry about an EA file? but its just I've gotten my hopes up too many times to jump and down every time good news hits the forums. The cry wolf syndrome, if you will.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:12 pm
n3ts3x0r - The nbalive07.exe file size in regards to the EA Downloader executable is 11,825,152 bytes.
Unfortunately after installing to a new directory, the patch application came up with the same exact error. Interestingly enough, it didn't even ask me to browse for the NBA Live 07 folder directly. I assume it auto-searches the hard drive. Although, I then put the patch application directly into the NBA Live folder, and that had same result.
I guess us EA Downloaders are stuck in the dark until our own version of the patch is released. Such a shame. I was actually hoping to see if the patch addressed the Quit Game CTD that has rendered Season, Dynasty, and Playoff game modes absolutely useless.

Wow......what a weird thread. Sounded like a hoax - what in the world is this server they've uploaded it to and why would it be named nbalive.exe? Strange.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:19 pm
cpu still doesnt sub

Sickness wrote:Well, I just downloaded the patch (from the link above) and I seem to get some sort of installation error - as if I have the patch previously installed. I garuntee you that I do not. See below.

Anyone else getting this problem? I have the EA Downloader version of NBA Live 07.
i think you put a crack on your game that's why the patch will not install.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:23 pm
this one is fake
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:24 pm
for you guys saying the cpu doesnt sub: Check your sliders first...they were down at 50 when i installed this patch. 2: play a game longer than 5 minute quarters, very few players are gonna need to switch out with short quarters
Death: Wait for an answer and a solution before you assume somethings fake...its working for me and if you dont consider me reliable enough....its working for bigh0rt

I will state
one more time that I did not install or use a NO-CD crack and nor has the original Nbalive.exe been changed at all. I have the EA Downloader version of NBA Live 07 and I think that's the issue.
To clarify, has anyone that installed downloadable version from EA Downloader been able to install the patch?
Oh, one more thing. Let's think about this. If I have the EA Downloader version, why the heck would I need a NO-CD alteration? I don't
have a CD or DVD to begin with.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:26 pm
did it worked for you
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:27 pm
Can i have someone's sliders? the CPU isn't subbing for me.
Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:27 pm
May have some bad news I tested the patch a little in a 5 minute quater. There are definitely still problems. First of all certain players (I was using Steve Nash) still do no get fatigued at all no matter what. I ran around the whole quater on turbo and took every shot with Nash and his fatigue bar didn't go down at all. The other players did though. Also as was mentioned before I put the cpu sub slider to 100% and still no subs. Maybe these 2 problems are tied together somehow either way its not working correctly for me. Can other people with patch confirm this? I did turn fatigue to On so thats not the problem.
