The main reason I'm getting Live is cause of signature shots!!!Can you confirm if there are sig shots???

Tue Sep 26, 2006 12:55 pm

Hey man, can you take a pic of the Raptors court?

sportsfanatic218 wrote:yeah Jonathan I'd also like to know how the sig shots look in the game. and also for the ESPN integration can u watch podcasts and clips, stuff like that?

I haven't seen the sig shots yet.

I haven't seen any online data from ESPN. I remember a note on the box that says it may only be available 30 days before the start to 30 after the end of the 06-07 season. I haven't seen any offline ESPN clips.

Just to make sure i know what your talking about
Does the edit dunk package feature let you assign a number of differnt dunks depending on their dunk rating or is it just packs like "dunk pack 10 has so many dunks and dunk pack 11 has similar with a few more different ones" ? etc. etc.

Also when you select a certain dunk pack does it show you a preview of each dunk assigned to that pack and if so does it give you a name of each dunk that is performed? If so it will be good for us aiact.viv patchers to visually link the names of each dunk in the dunk.act, it will also be easier to dususs in the forum which dunks are good or too unrealistic.

unless you've got 360 or plan to get PS3, then do not get Live for this reason....they're a next gen feature....current gen (PC, PS2, Xbox etc) will only have a couple by what Andrew has said in past....

and besides, if you got a ps3 or 360 & your main motivation for getting the game is signature shots & player animations, then get 2k7....but I'm assuming you're on PC, so maybe you're plum out of luck....

You select a package which includes a set of 4 or 5 dunks. Ie Dunk Pack 5 contains Tomahok 1, Basic Dunk 1, etc (just an example, not actual data).

Yes, you can preview all the dunks within each package.
Here's a screenshot of Jason Richardson's Dunk Package

As you can see.. They have three sets of dunks for each player.. a Regular package which most, if not all players, have.. a highflyer set for players with high dunk rating. .and a power package for guys like shaq.

I have seen that nearly 20 players have 90+ ratings.Garnett has 99 (98)overall.Kobe 97, LeBron 97, Marion 93 (91), Amare 93, T-Mac 93, Wade 93, Payton 92(in 90's all-star i think) Dirk 91, Duncan 91, Arenas 91 (90), Kidd 91 (87), Brand 90, Iverson 90, Krilenko 90, Shaq 90 (96,89).

Duncan and Biby have 99 clutch ratings.Andre Miller 98, Kobe and Sam Casell have 97.

Iverson can dunk but hardly ever

I think these are the worst ratings i have ever seen in NBA Live series.....

- Do headbands still go through players heads on players that dont already have a headband?

- Do players still do that layup that goes behind the backboard and you get called for out of bounds?

Jon could you please play with kobe and see if he has his signature shot?

good questions, both of those things gave me the shits in 06.

And another question, in the preview videos we could see alot more contact on the ballhandler..... is this a good addition, or overdone like in 05 where players would constantly get pushed back?

Point guard dominance eh? I noticed that too, in the gameplay videos for CG, sixers VS nuggest, it was ALL Miller and Iverson. That's not good (that Miller is doing all the scoring, and not Melo).

Tue Sep 26, 2006 2:55 pm

How about offensive rebounding? Is it still as bad as in 06?

If I'm remembering this video correctly, they were playing that game Human vs Human.

Tue Sep 26, 2006 3:02 pm

Argh....read this whole thread and can't figure out if there are actually any signature shots....the agony!

I've search the players dbf and the aiact.viv file that jonathan posted and i cannot find anything that even looks close to be related to signature jumpshots, you would think it would be in yhe players dbf so you could change them like dunkpacks, looks like so far the pc version has once again got stiffed.

Man if this is true should we have to pay full price for a roster update, and a few crapy features with most of the little bugs from last year? i mean who the fuck programs the pc version, Stevie Wonder
