If you have a network adapter you'll be able to download some official updates...or unofficial ones if you have an Action Replay.

I don't have a network adapter so I can't tell you much about them except that they're used to play PS2 games online and download official updates.

An Action Replay is an unofficial cheating device (in the case of the PS2, a disc) that allows you to enter special codes that unlock everything automatically, access hidden aspects of the game (such as the controversial minigame in GTA: San Andreas) and so on. The AR Max also comes with a USB thumbdrive that allows you to transfer data from your PC to a PS2 memory card.

kool thanks so wat do they look like do i plug it into the back of my ps2 and then how do i plug it inot my computer . using usb?

The disc goes in the drive and the interface loads up. From there you can insert a game disc and run it with the cheats in place. The thumbdrive plugs into the USB port on the PS2 and your PC. It's not compatible with the slimline PS2 though.

Network adapter should be fine, the Action Replay isn't compatible though.
