Live 07 or 2K7???

i know this might sound crazy to alot of yall...........but i dont really like 2k sports gameplay........mainly because its too stiff and that you dont control everything that your player is doing........example: when you drive past some1 its a set animation on how you drive past some1 and you not controllin that at all. and sometimes when you drive to the hole the computer would do a hop step for you, instead of you choosing to do it.......stuff like that might seem small, but it really gets me bored of playin 2k and upset sometimes, because when it does the hop step on its own, i end up not scoring on a play, where if i didnt do the hop step i would have scored.........2k just has alot of annoyin things in it, that i dont like....and alot of people dont even notice it

I know what you mean, but those are mostly just the animations, that hop step lay-up, I do it maybe once every 2 games, so it doesnt bug me, and anyways it usually helps me avoid getting blocked. As for the driving to the whole, I control that, there's no animation that does that so I don't know what your talking about.
As for the topic, after reading the IGN article, I really get the feeling EA's put some effort into this game, and I'm a alot less lop sided toward 2k7. But I have a feeling 2k7 still has afew things they've added and not mentioned, and I just don't know if I'll be able to go back to an NBA Live game again.

i don't think people don't notice it, it's just a matter of personal taste.

for some, that "less control you have over the player" makes it more realistic than NBA live, where players seem almost mouse pointed and glide and skate through everything. it feels arcadey and it's exactly where the main flaw in NBA live lies: too much control.

in NBA live theres no momentum in your movement. driving into the basket in NBA is basically trying to skate through without triggering that lame bump animation. players in NBA live feel like skating poles. direction changes and turns don't have any influence on defenders and happen too fast and automatically. again, it's just a matter of personal taste / what you are used to. in my opinion, seeing players with their back to the basket glide through the paint doesn't resemble the real life NBA game too much.

exactly man, all the people who keep bashing live are the same people who cant keep stop pressing the FSS button...its a game so there are ppl who exploit everything to the max..live is the ultimate player control game and for this reason,ill keep buying it,everything in 2k is predetermined, in live u dictate what your player does...

Well I'm pretty sure the 2k fans aren't just buying the game for the signature jumpshots. And Live said only the top superstars have their own shot, while 2k7 is supposed to have 200+ unique shots (I'm pretty sure).I really am pumped for Live 07, but I doubt it will even be better than NBA 2k6 to be honest. For 2k6, out of the box it's an amazing game, and after afew games and tweaking the sliders, the gameplay becomes almost perfect. EASILY the best gameplay out of any NBA game. I really like how Live07 has alot more stuff to do in it's dynasty, but what it will come down to is the gameplay, because that is what determines what makes a game (and dynasty) last, not signature shots, or X-factor players.

as for the argument, if you're looking at current gen, go 2k7, if you're PC then you have no choice but live 07....if you're next gen like me, definitely get 2k7 & hold out on live 07 & if it is good, then get that as well....
