what programm do I need to change the traded draft picks? (they have been posted some sites before) And which file do I have to change?


a second question:

when changing the rookie rank from 60 to 89, does it matter which player gets which number?


and also some heights and weights are messed up, anyway to fix those?

The reason I would like someone to do it for me is because now Greg Oden is listed as 6'8".

I have the same problem. All the heights of the upcoming rookies are messed up.

Have you guys installed dbf viewer before running the mod? I hope you guys have a back-up dynasty so that you could rerun again the mod then change the properties of appearance.bat to read-only immediately. (so that it wont be deleted when you save your dynasty)

I made a back-up. I just would really like it if someone could please help me or assist me. Maybe they could walk me through it.

1.-Open your players.dbf file with a dbf editing program.
2.-Scroll to the bottom.
3.-Scroll to the right until you see a field called ROOKIERANK
4.-Only the generated rookies that will be available to draft should have a rank.
5.-Browse up and down the rookies to see if there is more than one with a rank of 60.
6.-If there is, leave one at 60, and change the rest of the 60's to 61-89. Then save the dbf file.
7.-Extract the contents of the "Faces" and "Portraits" directories to your sgsm folder. Make sure only the files are copied and not the directories, otherwise the game won't recognize them.
8.-Extract the contents of the "Draft mod files" folder from the archive to your dynasty's folder.
9.-Run the setup.exe file, whenever you are prompted to "press any key", please do so. When you get a message box that sais "The draftees have now been successfully updated. Have Fun!" Click OK and you are done.
10.-In your dynasty, there are several files that you need to copy for safe keeping, otherwise when you save your dynasty they will be overwritten. So make a folder somewhere safe and away from any NBA Live saves.

These files are -

appearance.bat
cdbflite.ini
CDBFLITE.EXE

You don't absolutely need these files, but if you don't want the rookies to have random player accessories, you will need to run this on your dynasty the next season.

10.-Run Live, load your dynasty and go to the scouting screen. Quickly look through the list of players to see if you have 15 C. Sumpters. If you do, then your changes weren't saved when you edited the dbf file. I don't know why this happens.

Thanks a lot Pdub for the explicit instructions. I had done everything like you instructed, except step 10. For some strange reason, the player appearances doesn't match their real appearances. Greg is 6'8, etc. I have no idea why.

EDIT: I solved the problem... Before, I thought the whole process had ended after the first dos window showed. I didn't notice that the setup.exe was still running in the system tray. I guess I was stopping the process somehow.

PS: How does one change the draft depth? In my dynasty, the draft depth is "Very weak", but I think this is a strong draft. It's not a big deal and I can live without, but I'd like to change it if there is a way.

Do we need to? Why is it necessary? I haven't installed it, since it wasn't part of the instructions.

I did make a backup, but I've played several games since then. Does it mean it wouldn't work if I run it again in my current dynasty and not the outdated backup?

EDIT: DBF viewer seems to not be necessary during the installation. I just installed it without having DBF viewer installed on my PC.

Hm, I've hit a glitch thing. I installed the first part of the mod, simmed through the season, did the draft and training camp. During training camp, I noticed something odd, that the rookies from the previous season (aka ROY, Morrison, Gay, and guys) were all replaced by the rookies from the upcoming season. Like I think one of my rookies (O'Bryant) was replaced by a 7'0 tall Domenic James. Indeed after getting through training camp and installing the latter part of the mod, I realized that the rookies from the past season were gone. This was just a test dynasty, so I didn't back it up. But any clue on why this happened?

a problem guys, after the draft is done, all the rookies drafted like oden, durant etc are free agents and teams are bidding for them, wassup with this, i just had boston draft oden but than in free agency phoenix signed him... can anybody help me out?

also, at the end of free agent signing, game crashes...wuts going on?

u are using jimmys roster which already includes oden and the draftees even before the draft starts.. at the start of the season they are alreaady present in the free agents list.. download the draft remover and it will remove them.. then edit the ratings of rudy fernandez and marco belinelli to Zero as they will not be removed by the draft remover.. dont ask me why as i dont know.. edit their ratings to Zero so no teams will sign them.. then run the draft patch.. after that.. take a look at it and there will no longer be clones of ur draftees..

I've played a lot with your patch, and enjoyed it a lot, but right now I'm mostly playing around with possible draft senarios for the next season, as I guess a lot of people are doing these days, so it would be great to be able to add the players without having to simulate a whole season first.

If possible, you could ask for Andrews permission to add them as FA's to his roster patch (or he might even be interested in using them as FA's himself in his next update).

u can put the players to FA urself.....just read some posts and u will find them...
