NBA Live Bug Fix Petition (Submitted)

Two more bugs - one rather weird, one only cosmetic. This is for the PC version, btw.

1) Players going missing

Good news before a game in my dynasty:


So I go and adjust the rotation (I intervene after the third quarter in close games):


So the game is tied after 3 quarters and I take over, but much to my dismay, I seem to have lost a PG:


Jason Kidd somehow couldn't make the trip it seems... And no, he didn't play SF, PF or C. I also checked the IL after the game, but he wasn't on there, of course.

Same thing for my next game. My team had 2 days off after that, and for the next game, Kidd suddenly turned up.

2) Free throws

The overlay after missed free throws and the ball animation do not match. While the overlay will correctly show "Pushed up too late" or "Pushed up too early", it'll show "Missed short" if you are early and "Missed long" if you are late; the ball animation will show you missing long if you push up early and missing short if you pull up late, however.
As I said, this is just cosmetic, but while we are listing bugs, I figured it should be mentioned.

Im with you guys on this, I hate spending money for something that does not work properly. Same thing happend with madden 07. EA needs to get their act together.

This is f*****d up . I don't know why but the game lags, whenever i enter espnplayerstas. And i'm playing with max options with 1024x748x32, with an ati radeon 9600 128mb...Even if i change my game res and tone down the details. I'm the only one with this problem?


It really bugs me, i have to wait to see the stats and return to the game in 1-2min.

PLEASE dont forget to include the resolution problem. People have posted and confirmed this problem allready.

Its where you cant change the ingame detail settings when you start a dynasty.

Pretty crappy for someone who starts a dynasty, plays everygame, then upgrades their computer, or wants to hook it up to their TV, then they cant change the detail settings of that particular dynasty.

Considering all this here's, I believe, the most important question - DO WE REALLY NEED to have a new Live every year only to see another undeveloped and rushed beta-like version?

I agree. It's good to see a new game every year, but developing a good game requires at least 2 years. No wonder they don't release demo versions. The final game is the beta.
But if they spend their time on bugfixes and patch, next year's release will be more buggy because of the lack of time.
I wonder how they test the program. I think they don't lay emphasis on testing. Distribution of beta versions between NBA Live fans can be a good solution.

What are the rest of your specs?
That should run fine if your card isnt limited to the rest of your components.

In Game IP vs IP if i call one playbook offensive with 2 time button pressions(all the offensive playbook pressing 2 time buttons than i can call do that) , over my player' head i can see the label dunk, Lay-up, Shot, Pass, and so if i press the off ball button with one of dunk, Lay-up, Shot, Pass, before this label was off for take the control of one of my player, the game crashes, losing the connection. This is very bad for online game.

Well EA, looks like you stuffed up again. I've supported the Live series since 95 but no more.

Quite frankly I don't know why all of you are bothering trying to get a patch, when the problems with this game are well beyond a simple file fix.

Honestly, if you haven't looked into 2ksports you should, last year I never would have even considered it, but watching 1 video of nba 2k7 has changed my mind. 2k is miles ahead of ea, and there's no point in being too stubborn to even take the time to check it out. Unless ofcourse you're a pc user (which I previously was)

I have purchased EA franchises since back in the day, Bulls vs Blazers, etc. I purchased the 360 version Live, expecting something spectacular. I must say that I will never purchase Live again, until they can prove that they deserve to have me as a customer. I will purchasing 2kx from now on, I will Gamefly Live, but with very low expectations from now on out. I was hyped up over the last two season, Live 06 for the current Gen, Live 06 for the 360 and Live 07, and the last three have been utter crap. Live 05 was the best game they have had in years. So, EA, I'm done! Thanks and goodbye!

In PC version there are NO S-I-G-N-A-T-U-R-E jump shots!!!!
The only thing they added is the free throws....

And the only thing that signaturized is the Annual Fuck up with EA's PC releases!!

Thanks everyone for their contributions and support! We ended up with 315 signatures, and the petition, along with the list of bugs are now in Andrew's hands and it will be forwarded to EA Sports. Hopefully we will recieve a positive response.
