PC Update News
As the PC update for NBA LIVE 07 nears completion, we wanted to give a breakdown of issues that will be addressed in this update. This information is as follows:
-Fixed missing face texture for Renaldo Balkman
-Fixed bug allowing users to release players during FA negotiation period
-Fixed inverted text bug for direct pass
-Fixed last man back functionality
-Fixed bug with substitution logic and also added the following additional functionality:
-Added a CPU substitution frequency slider
-Added a Fatigue Effect On/Off option in general gameplay options
-Fixed bug that had the wrong jerseys showing up in 1-on-1 and Freestyle game modes
-Added functionality to view "average" stats
-Added functionality to allow user to save stats in gameplay
As the team worked this update, there were other issues raised that were part of the design in NBA LIVE 07 that we wanted to address as well. Special thanks to the NBA LIVE Series Center for helping create this list.
Q. Provide alternative shorter seasons rather than only full 82 game seasons similar to previous years' versions.
A: We had to lock DYNASTY to a full 82 game season in order to implement the new scheduling and roadtrip logic. We can investigate the option in future games to allow the ability to schedule different season lengths, but this is not something that will be included in the update. We did keep them in SEASON play however as we did not implement the new scheduling logic in that mode.
Q. After calling a play, there's an inability to see where to set up plays.
A: This is working as it is supposed to. We made an improvement this year so that you no longer need to go to a spot to start plays (and hence you no longer need the overlay). In order to call a player the User needs to be the ball carrier, and can set up anywhere in the half court. Once he calls the player the user's teammates will set up in their designated spots and run the play- there is no need to see where to set a play up because the play will begin automatically.
Q. If locked as a player, the CPU does not auto inbound. Inbounds are only done if one presses the pass button. This is a significant gameplay issue if one is locked as a power forward or center.
A. This is working as designed. We added the ability to call inbounds plays this year and this change means that if you are player locked you must receive the inbounds pass. This also is not going to be included in the update.
Q. No option to turn the stamina bar on.
A: There is - you can do this from In-Game Settings>Stamina Bar (On/Off).
Q. Add missing key players
A: The rosters are locked as of July 27. All unsigned players as of that date had to be left out due to our agreement with the NBA. This issue will be addressed with our first roster update which is scheduled for early November.
Q. Add missing jerseys and replace incorrect courts. (Toronto Raptors)
A: There was a late change to the Raptor's court that we weren't able to include in the game prior to its release. As for the jerseys, they are all up to date.
Q. Incorrect head textures.
A: More than 90%of the players in our game have authentic star heads. The only players that do not have star heads are the rookies that signed very late before our roster lock.
A: This also is working as designed. The right analog controls a player's freestyle dribbling while the left analog controls a player's movement. If the left analog is moved while using the right analog a player will transition from a jab step to a dribble move (Freestyle move).

Im sorry but thats not correct. Last year, 2005, 2004, 2003, even 2001 had triple threat moves you could utilize to blow past your defender (outside and inside scorers even had superstar moves)
I mean its not a huge bug that will make me not play the game anymore...but it was a nice touch that has been a part of the series since before this team started working on Live.
