just tried, CPU and USER team does SUB........
for most realistic, i had to put both sub slider to 95-100 (which is abnormal!!! )
and both team sub at the suitable moment then ..........

the greatest problem is that........... star play are not tired at all so as to sub...
damn.......!! i use rocket, i cannot see mcgrady and yao to be sub..............
i play sun, i cannot see nash, amare, marion and diaw to be sub.......damn!

For the PG........this beta patch does NOT solve anythg..........

and together, i updated my PG fix to 4.0 (for myself, released up on request or later on) with the original aiact...
and it work just great............... PG problem are solved....

this beta patch just updated the nbalive.exe, plyface.viv, and screen.viv...
for those cannot update the patch, may get those files from your friend of these updated files for a temp fix(although not much , still can sub)

Its almost as though they purposely made the original game shit so people that wanted to play it illegally will have to go out and buy the game, because they brang out a patch afterwards that is only compatible with the original file.

Did they atleast even THINK about the console people then? For their info, I can't install a freaking patch on my PS2 Version .

You have to get the original nbalive07.exe file and then install the patch and then put the no-cd crack back on. Too bad my game isnt illgel

I've played 3 consecutive games now where I had the quarter length at 6, 8, and 10 minutes respectively. Not once did the CPU substitute a player and kept his starting line up out on the floor. I have the stamina bar turned on, and the fatigue effect option on.

Also, for this match I edited the opposing teams starting lineup "Stamina" rating down in the 60s/50s range to make sure that fatigue would be in full form at the end of the first and beginning of the second quarters. Again, not a single CPU substitute. This is with the User and CPU sliders all way to 100. I tried variable 95, 80, 75 for the CPU substitution value and again - not a single sub.

The only conclusion I can come to is that since I had to mix up the .exe and this patch is clearly not intended for the EA Downloader version, that the substitute fix of the patch doesn't apply itself to the downloadable (my) version of the game.

here it is what happend with me when i installed the patch correctly i got the same menu like NotoriousFrench but i shows no effect i a 12 minute quarter still no sub also i made the cpu sub all the way to 100 and the PG still daminate and still no save in the game play menu menaing you still can't save the camera zoom so this patch is useless to me can some one tell me if he have the same problem or it's only me here

This patch works!!

You have to set the cpu substitutions up to 100.
I played the Hornets @ LA Lakers(CPU) and Mihm got subbed by Brown after 5 minutes of a 12min quarter.

And for those of you who say superstars don't sub.....Kobe was subbed in the second by Mo Evans.....not for long but still (he wasn't in foul trouble).

The direct pass maping was fixed too....layup is layup and dunk is dunk.


I don't really care about the rest so I just enjoy what I have.........
Dynasty mode here I come.

The Best player ..three of them never get subed out..The rest of the players for both teams sub pretty good.

I have 100 % sub on my sliders. Fatigue yurned on.. I haven't tried edited all the players Fatigue settings ..Has anyone tried this yet?

If all the players would be subed , this game would be worth 30 buck, fix the PG thing and 40 bucks is a good deal.

Still don't know if the game was patched..

I think it's extremely fair to assume that what has been said previously in the couple of first pages in this thread. There's been no official word from EA nor has Andrew or anyone else for that matter got the insider's scoop. In strong probability this beta build of the patch has been found (albeit possibly accidently) or only possibly pertains to the clear cut CD-Rom or DVD versions of the game.

The first subdirectory of the file location is QA. Now, like I said recently in my strong belief that stands for quality assurance, a phase in which the patch would be in-house tested by the devs or the relative team responsible for such a task. However the link was found or if it's infact meant to be posted for the public is irrelevant. The fact that this is not an offical release for the patch but we got our hands on it is. We're just coming here and elaborating on what the patch did, or did not fix. We're covering the variables of a possible beta patch on its concourse over the multiple NBA Live 07 versions. I don't think people simply stating what the patch's results were for them individually by any means fits them into the "idiot" category.

Unless you're talking about people who were associating themselves with cracks or illegal pirated versions of the game in this thread. In that sense, I completely concur and would have to simply point them to the big, bold sticky that directly instructs you not to. Someone already suffered in this thread for not doing so.

Odd that it works for some and not for others. I'm no computer wiz as others on this board are, but I installed the patch and began a 12 minute game Milw vs Utah. I had the stamina bar on and the fatigue effect on. I set the CPU subs at 70, and about 6 minutes through the 1st qtr Utah (cpu team) called time out and subbed for Okur. Then after a whistle for a foul with 4:00 to go they subbed for Kirlenko.
Direct pass is working now as well. All seems fine with me.

Im sure this is NOT the final version of the patch!But i think that the final version won't be much different than the one i found by accident...Maybe there will be more than one patch this year,maybe not...I think we have to accept the hard punch that is Live 07 and hope for the best next year...

I downloaded patch, and cannot install it ! When I start nbalive.exe, it reports me "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."
What's the problem ?

I've downloaded and installed this "patch"... And I still have a problem with the Direct Pass option, where the Dunk and LayUp buttons are still reversed...

Has this been solved for anyone?

2klakers- All I did was save the download to my desktop and double click it. It self installed in a matter of a minute.

The subs do seem to work. I had CPU subs at 80, and my team at 100. There were reasonable subs except for Kobe on my team, who never left the game until the 4th quarter.

Subs still don't work properly in that the subbed out starter doesn't return until the subbed in bench guy is tired.

As for the PG problem, I found that if playing PG I could stop the opposing PG from scoring by not playing in his face full court. If I concentrated on staying in front of him, picking him up at mid court, I could usually stop him.

The problem is the CPU PG doesn't do this. Also, if I'm not controlling my PG then at least 50% of the time he charges in to take a shot in traffic.

I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but you have to make a concerted effort to stop constant fast breaks. About 75% of my points come on fast breaks. It's nice in one way because in real basketball, guys don't look to set up half court if there's a lane to the basket. The problem is, the AI defense doesn't do very well in cutting off lanes to the basket, so fast breaks are the common way to score.

UPDATE: I've been told that a version of the patch was indeed placed on EA's servers for testing purposes. The file we have been downloading is for the English version thus users with other language versions will encounter difficulties installing the update. At this time the update has still not been officially released. I'll keep everyone informed of any new details that I find out.
