Response from EA about the NBA Live 07 bugs.

they have advertised sig shots for current gen.

As far as I know, they only put up a game information page on their website with all consoles having the same information, and that's it. How is that advertising sig shots for current gen? That's just the webmaster being a bit lazy...

if there was something there saying that there were sig shots, and it was on a current gen page/under a current gen heading, it's false advertising. lazy or not.

beside that, andrew confirmed in his community day thread (several times) that there would be sig shots in current gen. i doubt he drew this conclusion out of absolutely no basis.

When did Andrew say that? Cause i don't remember reading that. Could you quote it? Don't Slander.

We've got some signature free throw styles and jumpshots in this year's game, though the Next Gen version features many more unique jumpshot styles.

Current Gen has fewer signature forms mostly for star players and players with really distinctive styles.

There's nowhere near as many signature jumpshot styles in the Current Gen version,

Do you really think they will do something about the bugs ? Personally I think the problems of the game are in its bases, they're not simple problems that can be fixed with patches easily. If it was well done, there should be few bugs, but ... you know... they know YOU all will buy that game anyways, so why to lose their time ?

I'm dissapointed, totaly! This game is fucked up totaly, CPU is messed up at all, cpu doesn't subs the players, user or cpu team-doesn't meter its screwed somehow.

Changed the sliders and i though i fixed the pg dominance but that was just in one or two games, pg started with show time again.

Also saw few more weird things like my player got his 2nd foul in 1st quater and he was changed by cpu and in next game the same player made his 3rd and 4th foul in first quater and he wasnt changed by cpu wich is toataly fucked up.

Not sure whats the problem but i'm scared that patch would not fix those fucked up bugs and we'll have fucked up NBA live 2007 forever.

I have the 360 version and I must admit that I have been an avid Live fan for years. I am trading in Live 07, I have fell in love with a new game, NBA 2k7. Blah on Live for screwing me over. I thought last year was much better than this year's Live on the 360. So, I will be purchasing all 2k from here on out, and will only Gamefly NBA Live 0x. Maybe then it will have some decent gameplay, by us showing them we're sick of crap!!

I'd rather stick to PC and try to work with NLSC to make this version better.

Just on a side note; regarding the letters, petitions etc. Maybe it would be a good idea to send a copy to ESPN as well. Since they have now aligned their name with this game, and there credibility is also at stake. Also any NBA Live sponsors might be interested to hear of such a poor product being produced at their expense. Im thinking Toyota etc.

In regards to my last post, i just wanted to add, make sure you let EA know, in your emails, that you're sending a letter/petition to their sponsors and ESPN. Lighting a bomb under their butts...so to speak

I asked EA about all the problems a few days ago. Heres their response.

Wow, you guys really fucked up this year. I thought 06 was terrible, but you guys set news lows with 07. I read a post saying the real feature of 07 is "freestyle customer service". So yeah, heres my questions:

- Will a patch be released that fixes PG domination, subs, fatigue etc.

- Why did you guys say sig shots were in PC? Do you know that everybody could get their money back for false advertising?

- Why is Renaldo Balkman white?

- Why can't you exit a game without it crashing?

I don't want to get your reply only to read something like:

Well currently we have not gotten any news on a patch so we can't confirm what it would fix.
There is a mistake on the website that is being corrected, but it does not say on the box that there are signature shots for the PC version.
Looks like a corrupt player file.
You can exit the game with out crashing. But I do know there are some customer’s machines that are crashing and we are trying to see what is conflicting with the game and causing it to crash.

Please respond back to me if you have anymore technical issues concerning the game.

Its worth spending that just so you can finally play a decent basketball game (you obviously havent done that for years).

You wasted money on buying Live 07 (again) why not trade it in for 2K7 and spend a little more on a PS2?

Come on kids. Settle down. koberulz I don't think Flite did anything that will directly affect the communities effort, and even if that is the case what authority do you have critiquing everybody else. Maybe just settle down a tad, make some rational and reasonable arguments and stop spamming as much. That way the forum may calm down a bit and we can focus on the job at hand: getting EA to fix Live 07.

EA really screwed themselves over by not having a global release date. Now they've lost plenty of customers from Aus/NZ. On the other hand we benefit from this.

I haven't seen this much backlash for a game since EA released 2001.

I contacted EA customer support on the 26th, they just got back to me yesterday. Basically the guy said he's not able to answer my questions about the Aus release date, the 2 week delay etc.

He did give me a link to another EA site that might be able to answer my questions about the release date down here, but to no suprise that site didnt have a customer support section, the 'help' link it did have re-diverted me back to the main EA site.

Such a joke, and that's not EA bashing, thats just reality.

i had preordered my ps2 copy of the game be4 i read about all of the bugs, it arrives tomorrow and if its as bad as everyone has been saying i will be getting my money back one way or another
