ok.... if i had time...i'm intended to make 80's Europe All-Stars team...

roster:
Starters:
11 C +Arvydas Sabonis
14 PF+Dino Radja
07 SF+Tony Kukoc
13 SG+Sarunas Marciulionis
04 PG+Drazen Petrovic

Bench:
12 C +Vlade Divac
08 PF+Alexander Volkov
-- SF+Detlef Schrempf
06 SG Nikos Galis
05 PG Panagiotis Giannakis
+
-- C Rik Smits

and as if i cannot add poll anymore, a question is:

Who should be the last player in this team?
- Rimas Kurtinaitis (LTU/USSR) (Olympic champion, twice olympic bronze medal winner, deadly shooter, who alone burried USA team in 1988 olympic semifinal, scoring 28 pts, only non-NBA player ever to participate in NBA All-Star Weekend - 3pt shootout.)
- Zarko Paspalj (YUG) (twice olympic silver medal winner, arguably the best SF playing in europe in 80's, had NBA appearance with Spurs)
- Juan Antonio San Epifanio (ESP) (Spanish legend, just in case of variety of nations)
- other (please mention)

i am sure i will not be patching for another couple of days or even a week, so you have a time to decide....

p.s. i failed to find good quality pics of zarko paspalj and juan antonio san epifanio, so if anybody could help - appreciated. if not - kurtinaitis goes to the team right away.

The patch looks great. I have pics of Paspalj but my scanner is out of order right now, so I'll see what I can do. I would also like to see Djordjevic in the team (since the only real PG is Giannakis) although his prime days where in the 90's.

would be great to have pics of paspalj, maybe he would be in some other teams. as for djordjevic. his prime was together with danilovic, bodiroga and rebraca - the next generation. he doesn't really belong here with sabas, kukoc and others. as for PG. i tried to concentrate not only on how good the players were, but also in NBA appearances. and i remember most clearly, that petrovic played PG in Yugoslavia (1988, 1990) and Croatia (1992), that's why he's listed as starting PG.

i, of course, know, that rik was #24(before chuck person left the team) and #45 (after), but nobody plays such numbers. so I'm gonna use that 4-15 european number system. so who is going to be the last man in the team really depends what number rik should get, because kurtinaitis is #10, san epifanio is #15, and both those numbers are vacant.

I think that until next week I would be able to upload Paspalj pics. I could also upload some pics of Radja and Kukoc from their Jugoplastica days (in which they had "baby faces"), if you're interesteted, for a more 80's sense. I guess that with so many big guys already in the squad, creating Zoran Savic would be out of the question but I can't help myself. That's the problem with your project, too many good players, who to exclude. This was a great era for European Basketball and this will be a great addition to nba live.

no. i am confident here - zoran savic wasn't good enough to be in this squad. alright, so you have sabas, petrovic, kukoc, schrempf and others. and savic? it even sounds off..

Excellent job for one more time.
He had 40 points at the 1987 final and 45 at the 1989 semifinal (I can still rember him scoring again and again in front of Sabonis, who is about 40 cm taller than Galis).

Are you going to put them on a team? It would be like a Euro Legend Challenge...quality on these are top notch. Would not expect anything less from you  ... (Y)

i have some ideas. though it's kinda complicated to make it as a team automatically (with auto .dbf installation) only because of appearance.dbf. it would only work fine, if any roster maker would include such a team into his rosters...anyway, i will be away for some time now, there's one guy left - rik smits, so whenever i'm back, i'll do smits and i see what i can do regarding the release...it would be stupid not to release this patch after such a work...

maybe forum users have opinions about the form of the release of this patch? all the ideas are kindly accepted
