Nope, doesn't fix it. Probably some background apps....haiz. Why can't they just use NBA Live 06 backend mainframe...damn...-_-

anyway, pdub:
your "fix" seems to have nothing to do with the crashing problem...wrong thread? how doy you decide the values to substitute in those parameters?

I have a fairly high-end system, way more than NBA Live would ever need in this decade ( judging by their graphical enhancement along the years ), however I still crash to desktop when I 'Quit' from a game that has finished.

It doesn't bring me back to the main menu, it just terminates NBA Live. Thusly, I don't qualify for the 'low end crashing' fix.

To me it almost seems like the NBA Live program is calling the same routines for actually exiting back to Windows instead of whatever routine is supposed to take you back to the main menu. It's a clean 'poof to desktop'.

So if you're taking 'crash' to mean mid-gameplay, then you're not hearing my problem correctly. If this isn't a bug, I don't know what is.

I haven't put a lot of debugging effort into this to see if it's writing to a log with an error or maybe take a look at what the process is doing when it exits back to desktop, but clearly this is a bug that many people have ( it's in the petition sent to EA under the top priority section ).

So, is there a fix for this bug?

Yeah, the registry changes have nothing to do with fixing the crash. The values are bytes. What I did was divide the number by 1024 and got the number of megabytes. Then I took the result and made it a higher round number and times it by 1024 and entered my resulting number. Its just how much hard drive space(cachesize) and page file space(swap size) is allocated when you run the game.

Here's some info. I was going to try and leave all my background apps on. I left my bittorrent program running, ati tray tools, and fraps. The only thing I turned off was my virus scanner. I was able to quit the game, but when I clicked the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the schedule screen it crashed with the "send" or "don't send" error. Interesting how it crashed when I was trying to exit the game anyway.
