what should i buy? LIVE 07 or 2K7?

Definately get 2k7 if you got the xbox 360. If you have next gen, wow you will be missing out if you don't get 2k7.

edit: i can't speak for 2k7 or live 07 for current gen or pc because i haven't played them. But since i've played both live and 2k7 i can say that 2k7 is light years ahead of live. That may be an understatement.

Now I feel bad that I didn't play 2k basketball before. The dynasty is way better, including the training and GM control part. The trading part is kinda difficult because they don't show the combined salary of the players being trade, or maybe i just dont know how to use it yet. So much for Live 2007 Dynasty stories for me.

Not sure about XBOX360, but i've played both game on PS2. let me tell you, avoid live 07 at all cost, get 2K7, you wont regret

Most of the things that I've been wishing for in Live is actually on 2K7 and nobody told me!!! One thing about 2k7 though, the basket seems to be low. Everything else is awesome.

Some things that are on 2K7 that everyone wishes was on Live 07 are: Player Development that you actually get to play to improve their ratings and develop your players into stars, play/practice with potential draft picks and free agents before you draft/sign them to see who you play with better and who would fit your team better, ability to hire and fire your head coach at any point in the season, even though you can't sign other coaches from other teams/only fake coaches, (Live should really capitalize on this and add this feature and make it like Madden where you can sign any coach in the league, ability to edit players during your franchise, trading block, MLE (360) there's no MLE in Live for 360, and box scores and player cards with all their statistics.

Usually, people who aren't already biased to NBA Live will say a different game is better, but everyone on these kind of sites will still prefer Live. And I've purchased every NBA Live since 95, aside from 02....and I even had Showdown, Bulls vs. Blazers, Bulls vs. Lakers, Lakers vs. Celtics, and Jordan vs. Bird.....so it's hard for me to go with a different game. But if EVERYBODY is really saying that 2K7 is better, well..........

OMG the video.... I knew Live 07 sux but after seeing that video, EA has nothing against 2K sports.

The dynasty(assoiation) mode in 2K7 is good too
trading block! 3 teams trade! CPU' counter proposal! Trade with Picks! Those are the things which featured on our wish list every year. We made our wish to EA and they just dont give a damn, but i suspects that 2K sports ' developer actually does borrow some idea from our lists

I have Live 07 but I'm waiting to see if they actually make a patch before playing it again. For now, I'm playing 2k7 on the ps2.

Maybe they can open a special 2K7 area in the forums where you can post your 2K7 Assosiation stories?

Personally I would change the entire website to accomodate both Live and 2K but opening a detailed forum section for the 2K series is the least they could do.

and i'm one of them. however, some people do prefer the arccade-type sim, if that makes any sense, rather than the strict sim that 2k is.
