Happened to me too. My pf was in foul trouble, so i put a sf to play 4, but the cpu "was not accepting" my sub, so he was putting calvin kato back and forth... The bugs this year are incredible

Does everyone who plays Live use auto-sub for user?
I dunno, I wouldn't really trust the game to make relevant subs for my own team....
At least I don't have to worry about that part of the bug, but the fact that CPU players never get substituted if not in foul trouble is still unacceptable.

how focking unreal i was really thinking about buying this game until i found out about the sub problem gosh i think this game is so not fun ... anyways i will not buy this game until EA comes out with a fix or patch.

If they don't do it this year then you know what? that will be the "MAIN FEATURE FOR NEXT YEAR"

:)

If they DID sub for you I would think that would be post worthy

The poster said he can't sub out his own player. I don't seem to have that problem.

I really dont see the big problem. The game is great to me. Sure it has some faults but it is 100x better than 06.

how can it be 100X's better if you cant use all the guys on yours or the opp team?

Playing the Bulls, Ben Wallace had zero energy but no fouls. No matter how many times I tried to sub him out, the computer put him right back in the game.

Just put User Substitutions on 0, so the computer isn't able to make subs for you.

This problem does NOT happen for me. I need a few more to confirm this please (actually try it, don't just assume), and then I'm going to get rid of this, it's causing unnecessary hysteria.

Some people say they can sub and others can't, I don't know what's up but I might as well try it for myself.

Don't have this problem either.

I´ve encountered this problem a few times aswell. Tried to sub out Garnett because of zero energy, but the computer would just put him in again immediatly. It seems as the computer wants to play with starting 5 no matter what. Having the sub frequency slider set to 0 doesn´t help. Odd thing is it doesn´t go like this every time. Sometimes you can
sub out your starters just fine.

I have NOT had this problem.
EDIT: tried just to make sure. I put user sub at 50 it auto sub Shaq back in after I put a 58 pf in the game for him. Then I put user sub at 0 and it would not put Shaq back in the game after I made the sub again.

I played 2 games today with subs at 0 and it never sub the players back. So I have NOT had this problem. Even when starting the game with 50 on the user sub slider then changing it to 0 later.

I make the sub for CPU team. They don't switch it back until the end of the quarter. I don't know why someone said the cpu immediately put the starter back in. When did you make the sub? You know the sub won't occur until the time stop right? I put in 12-men lineup for the CPU in the 4th quarter. The CPU keep that team until the end. So I'm pretty sure CPU will not put the starter back until the start of the next period.

It's upsetting that 2007 will indeed be another shitty year for Nba Live. I plan on renting it, and if I like will eventually buy it, but from what I've heard so far, I'm not going to like it.

EA will not change anything this year more then likely, but if enough people on this site make noise they will take some notice, however the key demographic for NBA Live isn't this sites users as much as you'd like to think that, but it's the 8-48 demographic which is HUGE. So what needs to be done is not just correspondence with EA, but some big time Lobbying with the big Review websites to make sure they make an issue with the faults NBA live seems to have.

I'll elborate more late.

I have played around 50 games and have not had this problem at all the only thing close to that is if i put somebody back in with say 3 fouls and he gets another foul, then it will sub him back out but never had a problem of being able to sub anybody out. As far as i can tell at least for me is the auto sub bug and really thats not that big of deal to me anyways cuz i don't mind subbing for both myself and the cpu, but thats just me i can see how this could make people a bit angry.

I have only had this problem when I make substitutions before a dead ball. They will sub my subs in and out in an instant, but if I go back to the sub screen and sub them in, they stay in. I believe this has actually happened for years in Live with auto-subs.

Exactly. Someone with the all the emails EA has sent needs to gather them and send this to all of the major gaming sites. This IS a story and a true example of everything that is wrong with today's gaming industry.
