i play this game since more or less that time too, i still miss the ISO cam angle that was there for ages and they took it out some years ago (just to name an example of features we had that went AWOL).
i certainly agree on nba live 2000 beeing the best, that's why i've said "six years ago, bla bla".
the slow evolution part i refer to, is that the gameplay part of the game (not the graphics, which i don't care about at all) it doesn't basically improve, it just takes different turns. some examples of this are:
-one year the game is all fast breaks, the next year there are no fast breaks at all.
-one year there are too many blocked jumpers, the next there are no blocks on jumpers at all.
-one year pro-hop is overpowered, the next year pro-hop is useless.
-the offensive rebounds are about right, the next year there are too few, then the next year there are too many and then we pray to god it doesn't kill this years version.
see... what i've meant with my post is that the harshest critics come from people who are tired of buying the game hoping for a new feature to be implemented correctly and then having to wait 2 more years till they get those features right... and in the process taking out other things they did correctly years ago!!
they said live 06 was too arcadish and they've tried to fix it this year... well live 2000 and live 2005 were not arcadish so what we are getting is not evolution, it's just taking turns. this year they are going to be close to great, then they will screw up with another feature next year only to fix in the other year....... this is what i call "slow evolution".
