Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

It's strange that they would pick T-Mac, since they usually opt for the new upcoming identity. (Wade, Melo, Francis (at the time), Walker)

Actually, the more i look at the picture, the more i realise it's not T-mac.

Even though i don't know why i'm looking into such a pointless issue  Look at the muscle definement, he's obviously cut. Tmac's arms muscles don't bulge that much. So that makes it either LeBron James or Chauncy Billups in my mind. But with that said, if you look at the other silouhette, the dude has a hell-skinny head, lol. So i'm gonna put my money on Chauncy Billups.

Chauncy, now that i think about it, is the kind of guy you would want representing your game too. Solid and fundamental.

I guess LeBron is the best choice, market-wise, but the headshape has me convinced that they chose Billups.

WOOOOO WHO CARES

exactly. And as donatello mentioned above, I believe it's just filler art. C'mon, that would be stupid to put such a shilouette and have Nash and Dirk as options.......

Hmm, well Jordan was in Live 2002 and 2003, so maybe it's 5 years and greatness. :?

Good looking out. As far as the cover player goes, my vote goes to T-Mac based on that teaser.

No, they've produced the series for its entire run.

It obviously should be more than five years. Perhaps they are referring to the console versions of the game since the importance of that platforms has increased beginning with NBA Live 2002's exclusive release on the consoles. If not, your guess is as good as mine.

At first, I thought it was T-Mac, but then I realisedm, on his head there looks like an outline of a headband, so I'm going LeBron. Although I could be totally wrong.

But can Chauncey be the cover-boy? Isn't he the cover-boy of NBA Ballers: Phenom?

Its definitely Chauncey Billups. Does the player in the silhouette look like he has hair?
Image
Chauncey fits the jumpshot form almost perfectly(after you flip him so he's left handed.)
Lebron would be too easy, he wears a headband.

The reason I chose Chauncey, I looked at the other covers - two PG's, one SG, one SG/SF and one SF. I figured it will be another PG.

Its either him or T-mac. :?

I definitely think its Tmac, unless the pose on the cover isnt the actual cover.
I hope I win :D

T-mac would be a welcome change from the 2003 draft class. Give the "old" ones like 10-year-man tmac their chance before the new school is the only thing left.

I don't think those background images represent the cover athlete.
For one, look at the image on the furthest left, the guy's shorts are really high. No one does that anymore.

I definitely think it's T-MAC.
I called that sheit a long time ago :D

Cover Analysis

Postby Omer on Sat Jun 17, 2006 5:19 am

Alright I did a side-by-side comparision of the T-Mac ingame picture and the silhouette on the website. Edited it in Photoshop real quick and what I found is a bit surprising. The real-life pic doesn't match up perfectly with the silhouette. However, as can be seen in NBA Live 06, the cover picture of Wade was not an in-game shot but actually done at a photo shoot. So, there is still a good chance it can be McGrady, because of the striking similarity between the in-game pic and the silhouette. The hand position is virtually the same and the stance is slightly off.

Wow, some are really overanalyzing things. Really, who the hell gives a damn who's on the cover? What, you wouldn't buy the game if Travis Diener was on the cover?
