I wasn't directing that post at you specifically. Just out of interest though, is that all you expect? That's fine of course but it is an interesting point of view because as the other replies so far would indicate most people are expecting quite a few issues to be addressed.

nah, i've already posted that i expect 80% of my expectations on the game are for them to fix gameplay, 10% more interesting, in depth Dynasty, 10% extras that make the game worth while.

i think basically all my complaints have been voiced

1. no amazing fourth quarter comebacks by PC
2. during those comebacks no amazing plays such as Shaq getting blocked by Boykins --> while Shaq should have been doing power, he had to re-adjust his shot to a layup because of earl's amazing 'd'
3. more cut-scenes would be cool
4. include all events for the all-star weekend (including celebrity game 8-) )

i dont have a very indepth list and to be honest i dont think its really that hard to add these few things.

1. in game saves. this is the only one on my list they must have for me to even buy the game. i did not buy last years live and i wont buy another one til i can save.

2. better trading system all around. i want to actually be able to trade draft picks. right now its damn impossible. to test it i offered lebron for a second round pick and it was rejected, that is just stupid on so many levels.

3. Mid-Level. this is a huge part of the NBA now, no reason its not in the game.

4. better generation of rookies. i am sick of having to draft a 6'4 small forward or a 6'8 center, its getting pretty lame.

5. more in game stat displays. i would love if through out the game, specially after and during free throws, we got displays of how many points or rebounds or whatever a certain player has. i would like to see these updates several times through out the game. i am sick of only see what college someone went to or how long they have been in the league, who cares that shit is boring.

thats about it really and i honestly do not think any of those are that are to add. list is in order of importance for me.

- in game saves: i think we are all expecting/hoping

- better Dynasty mode: trading picks, fixed salary cap problems, MLE, more CPU-CPU trades

- more fluid motion: i hate how players jump up and stop to catch the ball

- more stats: everyone loves stats......they should fix that TO bug too

- better rookies......way too slow, can't shoot.

if there are no significant changes i'm gonna stick with 06.

hmm, i guess number 5 for me was more of a wish than a must have, but the first 4 should already be part of the game.

Most of us have lives, and not enough spare time to play ~1-2 hours in a row of a game in NBA Live.

I will be happy with NBA live 07 only if is released before NBA 2K7 hits the stores in Europe. We always get it over March  (I mean 2K games). I hope EA will provide this year monthly roster updates, almost like 2k is doing with 2k6 right now.

- in-game saves (I like to play full games but never have time so always have to intervene in 4th quarter, in-game saves would help)....
- a much deeper dynasty: MLE, multi-team trades, trading draft picks, trading future draft picks, draft-day deals, off-season not so linear, less generic rookies, better scouting of rookies, better pre-draft workouts to allow 2-on-2 etc, better stats after first season that are distributed more realistically, primacy ratings aren't completely screwed anytime there is a trade, a guy like Tyronn Lue should not be a 20ppg scorer, ever!!!
- slight improvement in gameplay (I'd like a big improvement but since this is minimum requirements, that's what I'll give)....

so essentially I am just a dynasty-head....make a very deep dynasty mode & I'll buy the game....that simple....

The must be for me:

Midlevel Exception, no recalculating for the Primacy rating, if this things arent in the Game i dont buy it, i didnt buy Live06.

Oh and 10-Day Contracts would be nice too.

I think the Block Rebounding and Steal need a workover.

Trading draftpicks should be a little easier, and workouts with Rookies going at each other would be a nice feature. Along with Pre-Season Games like the Summer league where youre able to test undrafted Players.

1) Playbook expansion....
I loved the addition of Freestyle Playbooks in Live '06 (and I was kinda suprise EA didn't hype it up or at least mention it prior to game being released cause if it wasn't for this site I probably wouldn't known about it) but I would like for them to expand it. More plays but more importantly the ablity to save the playbooks. (for all the teams not just the user)

2) Better in game atmosphere...
From the crowd to the commentary IMO all needs to be improved. If it was up to me I would scrap to commentary all together and start all over but that probably wont happen so at least expand the commentary. Make it more tv like....prior to tipoff mentioning the leading scorer/rebounder/assts ect. for both teams, who's in a hot/cold streak, who's returning from injury or who's out of the lineup. This would IMO greatly improve the overall feel of the game.

Also, something I had a problem with live for the last couple of years is that there's no difference between a regular season game and game 7 of the NBA Finals. It would nice if in the playoffs the crowds were more energitic or wore the team colors.....simular to what teams did in this years playoffs.(Miami crowds were decked out in white and Phoenix wore Orange). Something to let me know im in the playoffs. I also missed the cutscenes that were in Live 2003

3) Sliding...
Big problem but I guess its supposed to taken care of with this new "foot planting" thingy.

4) Deeper and more realistic Franchise mode....
Cant make trades cause everyones over the cap. No MLE. Offseason is kinda wack.
WISHLIST ITEM....Interactive training camp simular to Madden. I dont know how they could make it happen but man I would LOVE for that to be apart of the game.

5) Create a Team...
A lot of people like myself put together fantasy teams instead of picking a normal squad for Franchise mode. Create a Team is NEEDED in this game

here are just a few things that would make me happy for NBA Live 07

- better generated rookies in draft- PG should be from 5'5-6'8" SG- 6'4"- 6'9" SF 6'6- 7'1" PF 6'8-7'2" C- 6'10"- 7'7" also a 90 speed but 45 quickness is crazy.
- multi player dynasty mode- would like to see from 1-6 teams i think that wouldnt be unrealistic
- seeing GM trading picks on draft night. bascially making the nba draft more real. ( showing a mock draft) and grading each teams pick on the draft
- graphics ( the numbers were a bit harder to read on the PS 2 especially a 6 and an 8)
- announce when a player is thinking about retiring.
- summer camp for rookies so you can see what its like and have 25-30 players on your roster so you can decide on season which 15 players you want on your roster.

these are the few things i would like to see and i think would be at least an improvement to nba live 06 ( i think they should keep the things though they added on nba live 06 though hiring scouts, trainers. )

Graphic (current gen)
- use "high res" textures.
(Live 2005 & 06 shows how lazy the team plotting the game to PC. how terrible are the jaggy textures such as team logos, jerseys and portraits. )

Gameplay
- don't count it a 3-pt shoot if the player is stepping on or even inside the 3-pt line.
- let me substitute my injured player MANUALLY.
- let me select different player to inbound if I want to.
- do the subsitution correctly. There're tons of bugs regarding the subsitution when the player is shooting free-throw.
- realisitc ball interception
- CPU plays the clock realistically

Dynasty
- CPU teams initiate blockbuster trade with other CPU teams or player's team
- training (practically, not just statistically)
- MUCH MUCH BETTER rookie generation

Game mode
- 1 on 1 tournament
- team practice
- custom team

Uh, my problems are all on the Dynasty.

Better rookies. A need. I don't want a 6'7'' PF, or a 5'10'' SG.
Better trading A.I. I give you Iverson, you give me two 1st round picks. Seems fair.
Make hiring staff mean something.
Training needs improvement. I don't think he takes 3-4 seasons to get 3-4 strength points up.

i do agree with the popular requests here.
In particular, the primacy recalculation, rookie generating, FSS players and the rebounding, but i will add a new one.

The last 3 games, I've never found the slider system for Automatic substitutions to be particularly effective. It's honestly never had much of an impact for me. I'd be satisfied if it went back to On/off, or if you could specify the situations where you wanted auto subs to take place, e.g. fatigue, stupid mistakes, foul trouble, garbage time, etc.

if ever,i hope we can import players as rookies from march maddness so that we don't have to deal with those lousy players that NBA live generates every season
