It doesn't necessarily mean you will be able to for Live '07 though.

my video card is Inno3D GeForce FX 5200 do you think it will be enough?

Well, I have a GeForce Go 7800 GTX in my laptop. It's pitiful that I can get beautiful next-gen graphics from Oblivion, Half-Life 2, and S.W.A.T. at near max settings, and EA gives me cartoons!

Let's get some next-gen graphics EA!!

Going to have to disagree with you there. If you upgrade, upgrade to current tech;no point in picking up a video card thats going to have to be scrapped sooner or later. Besides, for the price of a Ti4600, you could pick up a budget FX card.

Agreed. Another proposal for anyone who's buying a cheap graphic card for the next year or so: Radeon 9550, 128 MB version (the quality of RAM is far greater that on the 256 version). It's basically the same chip/RAM as on the 9600 version, only that it's running at 250Mhz instead of 350MHz, but if you replace its BIOS or simply overclock it with ATI Tool, you can get great results (although some versions are locked and you have to use modified drivers). In matter of fact, I overclocked mine to 400 MHz (GPU)/260 Mhz (RAM) without using additional cooling devices and is actually quite faster than the original 9600 would be. Will it be enough to run Doom 3 at 1600x1200 with max details? Of course not, but if you have an older CPU (Athlon 1800+ or something like that), everything else would be a waste of money and its more than enough to run everything EA can throw at us, especially if they're planning to give us modified last year's graphics. In matter of fact, I can play maxed out Live 06 at 1280x1024 with antialiasing turned on and my comp doesn't even break a sweat.

AMD Athlon 1800+
512 DDR Ram
Ati Radeon 9550 128 MB

I'll buy a new one after Vista comes out. I'll wait and see what happens with 64 bit support and the next generation of graphic chipsets come out (which will probably be early next year). I won't buy a CPU with less than twice the sheer power (clockage) of my present one (1533 MHz) and AMD - of which I'm a die hard fan - still isn't there.

You're kidding right?

If you're tech savvy, get an ATI Radeon 9550 and flash it to a 9700.

If not, get an ATI Radeon 9800.

The new series of nVidia is king now... but the ATI 9x00 series raped the nvidia competition of its time.

From what I can see it has:
Windows XP and enough harddisk space
Nvidia Geforce FX 5200
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
2.08 GHz, 512 MB (is the 512 MB the RAM?)

I suppose that's pretty good since it's not that old but I'm just wondering how good you guys expect newer games to run on my pc?

what type of games? if NBA live and the like.i guess it could still run

but if were talking NFSMW, FEAR, GRAW, COD2....your fx5200 wont suffice..even 512mb ram sounds weak with new games ( sad to say)

I'm ok with computers, I understand what everything does, but I don't know much about the new devices and someone else built my computer. I play live for ps2, but I'm hoping to play 07 on my PC, my video card is a celestica gold edition radeon 9600se 128 MB. Will this be enough to play the game?

I have an Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz
1.62GHz, 512 MB of RAM. Is this good enough?

depends on your graphics card..

but if you have a decent card, most prolly it will run..the question is..at what IQ settings?

how do you find that?

Start>Run>dxdiag

I got a 3.6 P4 as my maximum speed proccesor, 512MB Graphics Card, 1.5gig ram. So it should run sweet.
