NBA Live 2007 Wish List

To bad if they could get a wide varity it would be great.

I know of 2 problems that should not be that hard to fix.

First is if you trade a SG/SF rated 80 to a team that has a 90 rated SG and a 50 rated SF, they are gonna start the 50 cause the 80 is a SG first. Should not be that hard to fix.

Also, how come if EA saved the sound file for Kevin Garnett's name and for Tim Duncan's, they can't name a rookie named "Tim Garnett" other than "#20". Why don't they do a library, with all the first/last name they have, and then there would be rookies named by their goddam name.

they should have top 10 plays of the day and palys of the year dunks of the year blocks of the year .... just like on nba.com

I know some people want to see this kind of stuff and care for it, but this is not going to happen anytime soon. Here are some reasons

1) Currently there aren't enough block animations and dunk animations to
make a unique highlight reel. It would just become the same plays
just with different players.

2) The game would not be able to determine which play, dunk, or block
was the best or worst and it would be random.

Personally I think postgame interviews pre game interviews and all that video footage stuff people want is a complete waste. It would get so old so fast and the same stuff would be repeated and repeated. Also every player would sound the same when being interviewed and then people would start to complain that the guy doesn't sound like A.I or Lebron.

EA just needs to focus on gameplay and dyansty mode. Charts, stats graphs, and images are much better than video footage.

I agree w/ the contention that EA needs to focus on GAMEPLAY. It's the core of the game and there are a LOT of things that can really be improved to make the game more realistic. Here's some of the things I'd like to see:
1. MORE STATS!!!
2. Create your own stats based on existing stats (Like they had in NBA Live 2000)
3. More fluid animations for all kinds of moves. (In particular layup moves w/ freestyle air)
4. A "HANDEDNESS" slider for the players. (It's function would determine how well he will be able to use his "OFF" hand in shooting, dribbling, blocking, etc.)
5. Better playcalling and bring back animations to the playbook (Kinda hard to guess whats happening to any particular play if you don't know what to look for)
6. Plays based on the players and not on positions (eg. Post up for plays for Paul Pierce which are hard to do using the existing versions of the game)

I want the ablity to create a a new franchise and a tool to allow picture importing to create logos and jerseys for the custom team.

homecrowd leaving the building if their team is down by so many points late in the 4th quarter.

Who really cares about a car he drives.

And I do reckon the gameplay needs to be improved mostly blocks steals dunks and layups to me.

Owner Mode Like In Madden where u can manage prices and relocate teams

Make create a player easier & better because when i try to create a player he comes out looking all stupid.

I dont think a lot o ppl use playmaker (atleast i dont) so they should change it to some kind of dribbling superstar for Allen Iverson and ppl like that.

Add skills contest on the all-star game weekend.

make players get on hot/cold streaks like kobe went on about 2 weeks ago when he scored 45+ points in all those games

Have post game locker room interviews, maybe have TNT broadcast the game and have top 10 plays of the week or month.

Another thing is to put somthing like in NCAA Football game where theres fans puttin' preassure on the players especially if its a rivalry like Lakers & Heat and have players perform good or bad depending on how the crowd react to them.

Also instead of having the computer train the players maybe u can actually practice with them (ex. take 15 shots if u make 10 or more u get better)

I dont think they should focus on just gameplay because i think the reason why some ppl think NBA2k6 is better is because they have way more stuff on it like arena music, the crrib (i think thats what its called)

How about having the ability to play in the world basketball champion games/olymics during the offseason in dynasty mode. the dynasty should generate the us dream team based on stats from the season and modify other international teams based on performance of international players during the season.

After the playoffs it would be somethin great to look forward to playing b4 heading back to the regular season.

That would be a tad difficult because international teams and the US team aren't part of the NBA license that EA has. EA would have to procure licenses from those organizations.
EA can't even retain the players in the Legends pool, how about more of international teams?

2007 should add the skills challenge for the all-star game

i hope EA makes it possible for custom headband position. so that we can put the nba logo at the middle or anywhere else. so that we dont have to edit in .ebo editor.

They really should make it harder to steal

My wishes (witch not founded in yours wishlist):
-Eliminate Freestyle superstar moves (add them only in all-star game).
-Add normal blocking shots, not only blocking lay-ups and dunks.
-Add EVERY person uniqe range of lay-ups and dunks. Increase dunkpack number from 15 to for example 200. Because T-Mac doesn't use in regular games standart dunks, and never use windmill and 360 dunks. LeBron rather jumps from 1 leg. Francis dunks with 2 hands. And other examles.

Increasing the dunkpack from 15 to 200 is a little nitpicky with the game isn't it?

200's probably not feasible at this juncture. A wider range of simple dunks and perhaps few more DUNKPACKs to accomodate that would be nice though.

There's currently 21 DUNKPACKs and more than 21 dunks, but I do see where you're coming from.

I just want more stats. I've asked for this before and again, I hope EA will create better stats profile by showing a player's career stats. That's all. They've done it on previous Lives but why can't they add that again? y?

and they buy the most current one every year.

In that league we have our free agency period coincide with the NBA's but the problem is we don't know if when a person retires they're gonna be in the game or not (Reggie Miller for example in 06). So if you guys can post what players will be taken out and what players will be added during the summer before the game is released it would be appreciated.
