What this patch -here- does is that it actually moves further towards the first step from the second one, and not towards the third step. You take out all shading and end up with plain non-shaded or nearly non-shaded models which really looks like, as I said, Live 2000 with more detailed models.

Chris_23, that's actually an excellent analysis of the lighting patch. I think you hit the nail on the head perfectly.
