Fatique is working. Change to _ 50-55

Tue Oct 03, 2006 8:08 am

so lemme get this straight..

1. the primacy.bin file which you dump into the sgsm folder changes the gameplay and takes out PG domation?

2. and it works?

3. and there is still no fix to the subs?

Tue Oct 03, 2006 8:13 am

Weird shit, i also usied turbo with Kobe whole the game and he didnt get tired at all but other players was without any green fatigue shit but they didnt substituted at all, after first quater they was totaly out of fatigue and they didnt changed by cpu.

I can imagine that EA didnt even tested this game properly, they pack all the stuff and released it and they dont give a fck about anything.

Will wait for those master/patchers from here to try to fix those all bugs cuz tbh i think we would not see any fix/patch from EA in near future.

Maybe in next live. lol

To everyone that didn't bother to read the whole thread: At this moment the substitution bug doesn't have a solution to fix it, at least above this post.

I truly hope that someone, no matter who, finds a way to fix this. It's the letdown of the history of NBA Live otherwise, meh it is already.

Tuomas: Love the avatar and sig :D Makes me want to create something along those lines.

I just remember that this bug was already on for Live 2006 but it's not for all teams. I think it was the Hornets and Wizards who didn't replace the guards even though the stamina is already very low. I play on PS2

This thread hasn't fixed any of the issues that have been expressed about Live 07.

Period.

Jimbo66 for President.

It must have fixed something cuz i get no more pg dominance so i guess it did do something it didn't just go away lol or did it.

Tue Oct 03, 2006 5:27 pm

I don't know if anyone saw this, but anyway, yesterday i went to team strategy in the pause menu, where i found that there was an auto sub notify option which was on. I changed it to off and then back to on, nothing happened, still no subs. I don't know if this is of any help, just hope you guys solve this shit.

Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:59 pm

I don't believe there is a "substitution" bug at all. I beleive there is a FATIGUE glitch and that is what is causing no fatigued substitutions. Does anyone believe that their players are fatigued even with no stamina? Does you player play bad when there is no stamina? I decided to play with what players I had on the floor, without making manual subs. I had no problem on offense or defense with a player who had no fatigue. Any thoughts on this?

Pdub

I tend to agree with you and have wondered that from the start. Neither the computer or my players seem to play poorly at all when their fatigue is in the toilet. It seems like the game reads your fatigue as 100 so there isnt any reason to sub out anyone.

Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:24 pm

I think that's just terrible implementation on EA's part. They probably just "tried" to program the game so that when a player is fatigued, the computer HAS to sub, in order to have the illusion that player can't play like normal. But since this bug exist, the illusion is gone. It's the same for 06(but i do believe that when the stamina bar is gone, you can't run fast anymore).

One game i played against the rockets on 06, and Mutombo got injured some time ago so the rockets were forced to play Yao the entire game. He did decent, but no signs of his game been affected.

Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:56 pm

You may be onto something here i wondered why my players are playing like they are at full strength even when the bar is depleted. because it does sub when they get a couple of fouls.

can somebody repost the primacy file? thanks a lot

the one before reached its DL limit so it'd be great to get another one up

Tue Oct 03, 2006 8:06 pm

sorry i am a little bit confused

i think that the substitution bug ist not fixed, right?
but is the dominance of the point guard fixed?

please give me an answer - thank you

i play dynasty mode and the pg takes more than half of all shots :-(

thx&bye

Also, it doesnt effect our bug but I did notice this file is missing

main/scripts/xeffects.cfg

Its in my 05 version but not this one.

Tue Oct 03, 2006 8:21 pm

Maybe somebody should start looking at thing with fatigue, that seems more logical than the sub thing hell somebody might actually fix this yet.

bigmutha72, xeffects.cfg was supposed to be for controller vibration. EA never implemented it.

From the xeffects.cfg file from past NBA Live versions wrote:// This file loads effects from external effect definition files
// into the EffectManager.

// PC does not support force feedback...yet (ever)
// effect_load shotmade effect1.ffe
// effect_load dunkstrt effect2.ffe
// effect_load jumpball effect3.ffe

What about xdevcfgs.cfg or xgamefnc.cfg in the main folder?

What do they do?

Tue Oct 03, 2006 9:38 pm

Hey pdub or somebody, take a look at the simengine text in the sim engine folder, and look at the right just down a bit it has a bunch of things about starter plays and its mostly like 60% up to 90% i wonder if we change these to like 25% if we might get some kinda subs.

Nope that didn't work, hmmmmmm there just has to be something somewhere.
