good idea posting those, its really disappointing to see richard jefferson go from 87 to 83 due to vince carter

I believe that most next gen ratings were almost kept the same as they were in nba live 2006. Due to the big amounts of especific ratings i think they gave shit about coherent ratings.
To give an example, in live 06 Iguodala had very good blocking ability when he only added .59 bpg in real life. In live 07 it is even worse. He averaged .26 bpg in 37.6 mpg and he was given a 75 blocking ability!!!. Maybe EA producers saw something no one else in the whole world did.

alot of these ratings seem to be exactly the same. for instance the quickness one is really a broad example of all the other quickness catagories they have in the game now, like first step or recovery. why then do they still even have quickness?

edit: anyone happen to ha ve a list of all the rookies and thier ratings that are in the game? i noticed the top 200 list, but i am more interested in the rookies.

LeBron is a star but he is only AD-STAR (reklam star). why his rating is 97 ?

i think EA DON'T know anything about NBA

2K have to help EA :D

So let me get this straight, if I have read everything in this thread correctly... The only new stat added to the current gen. version of the game has been the clutch factor =[?

Okay, sorry to insist but I hadn't been following the whole story...
Out of all the great stats that have been added, there's pretty much nothing new for PC users???
Guess I didn't think most people here were playin on xbox or whatever, cant believe PC users are gonna be screwed again, even though PCs offer a zillion more possiblities... :( :( :(

If PCs ever offer a zillion more possibilities for EA to make a buck, we may see some of those features, etc. Until then, everybody needs to stop acting to shocked...

I'm REALLY DISSAPOINTED... what the hell?? CALDERON's Ratings is Extremely LOW!!! He is a World Champion... i can believe... and where are the two more players from Spain - i mean the World Champions!! - Sergio Rodriguez in the Blazers and Jorge Garbajosa in the Raptors??!!!

What can i say?? The only reason i really found to buy this years NBA LIVE was to find four spaniards in the game... and there will be only the same two that the last year...

Kirilenko better than Gasol??? Lue better than Calderon?? This is bullshit!!

I won't buy it this year... this game get worse and worse every year.

Mon Sep 25, 2006 6:48 am

if ratings are your only problem to name live 07 the worst game ever, then you are what? 11?

i dont care about ratings because on PC they are so easily changeble

Mon Sep 25, 2006 7:11 am

The problem is not the ratings... i play on PC (i'll never play in any other platform), and i know that i can easily change the ratings (actually i always do my own ratings) but creating players is other thing...

Of course I'm from Spain, and i can't really understand how can EA forget two of the starting players of the World Champion Team.

Anyway, changeables ratings or not, created players or not... this game has more and more mistakes every year. EA only tries to enhace the gameplay and doesn't matter if the game is full of bugs and players mistakes.

ea do not even watch nba, do you actually think they have watched the world championship?

also the championship had ended after the game's rosters were made, but i understand your concern as memo is rated 72 although he averaged 18-9 last season while tyson chandler is rated 76 averaging 5-9 (i personally despise him cause he killed my fantasy team last year)

bottom line ea sucks at ratings.

1. Lebron 97
2. Kobe 96
3. Wade 94
4. Garnett 93
5. McGrady 93
6. Iverson 93
7. Nash 91
8. Arenas 91
9. Dirk 90
10. Brand 90
11. Duncan 89
12 Shaq 89
13. Vince 89
14. Pierce 89
15. Marion 89
16. Amare 89
17. Kirilenko 89
18. Carmelo 87
19. Bosh 87
20. Artest 87
21. Jermaine 86
22. Manu 86
23. Pau 86
24. Allen 86
25. Kidd 85
26. Redd 85
27. Paul 85
28. Josh Howard 85
29. Richardson

As in Live 06 I don't think the overall ratings should be the main factor as they do not matter that much.

I pretty much agree with the overall ratings despite a few (e.g. Ray Allen, Josh Howard, Manu Ginobili...)

The new ratings are surely good for the further development of the game, but some of the ratings are way off for individual players.

LeBron James' Clutch Rating and Mid-Range Jumpers are too high compared to other players who really shine in these categories. But that's just my point of view. The only thing I'm really angry about is the teamwork rating (if it does mean what I think).

Pretty much overrated in this category are:
Allen Iverson - 99
Steve Francis - 98
Stephon Marbury - 99
Larry Hughes - 99
Earl Watson - 99
Kobe Bryant - 99
Jason Terry - 99
Mike James !!! - 99

Compared to guy's like Nash, Ridnour, Billups etc. these ratings are way off. It seems like every Star-Player got a teamwork rating from 90 - 99 and almost every PG has this high rating too.

That's pretty much the only thing I really disagree with and I'm already looking forward to Andrew's first roster patch.

just my 2 cents...
eisfeld
kobe got 99 teamwork?lmao! he sould have like 1 :?

Mon Sep 25, 2006 10:16 am

Ok since IGN said we should argue Lebron being 1 overall better than Kobe, here it goes:

Defense:
Kobe: 81
Lebron: 93 WTF?

Teamwork:
Kobe: 99 WTF? LOL
Lebron: 99

Ballcarrier Speed:
Kobe: 87
Lebron: 89 BULLSHIT, he can hardly dribble

Inside Shooting Likelihood:
Kobe: 83
Lebron:88 BULLSHIT, Kobe is way more inside scorer

Inside Shooting Ability:
Kobe: 80
Lebron:87 AGAIN, BULLSHIT, Kobe has better inside ability

Clutch:
Kobe: 91
Lebron: 90 LOL, it should be 50, he hasn't done shit in clutch shots, and against the wizs in playoffs was a travel people

Drawing Offensive Foul:
Kobe: 68
Lebron: 82 WHAT, when did he draw a offensive foul last season?

Oh yea D-wade: Drawing Defensive fouls: 86 is Bullshit, it should be like 101 because he gets just about every call even when not fouled, lol.

And also Kobe Bryant: Penetration Effectiveness: Which one? The White Chick or the Basketball inside drive? Ok I took that too far

Mon Sep 25, 2006 11:26 am

I wanna cry. Dont blame me if I dont want to go and spend 600 bucks on a next gen console. I crave them ratings, but I am going to wait till next December before I buy.

Lebron: 99

Ballcarrier Speed:
Kobe: 87
Lebron: 89 BULLSHIT, he can hardly dribble>>>>>>lebron is faster witht he ball than kobe. Way faster....
Inside Shooting Likelihood:
Kobe: 83
Lebron:88 BULLSHIT, Kobe is way more inside scorer>>>>nope this is correct. Lebron makes a lot of shots and lay ups inside. More than kobe.Inside Shooting Ability:
Kobe: 80
Lebron:87 AGAIN, BULLSHIT, Kobe has better inside ability

Clutch:
Kobe: 91
Lebron: 90 LOL, it should be 50, he hasn't done shit in clutch shots, and against the wizs in playoffs was a travel people>>>>>>kobe should be 95 and leberon 85 to 90. He has clutch and if you watch enough games you'll see it.
Drawing Offensive Foul:
Kobe: 68
Lebron: 82 WHAT, when did he draw a offensive foul last season?>>>>both should be on 50 cause they rarely take charges etc.Oh yea D-wade: Drawing Defensive fouls: 86 is Bullshit, it should be like 101 because he gets just about every call even when not fouled, lol.

Some of these are not right... I know for a fact KG is a 90, and Shawn Marion is a 93...

Wed Feb 28, 2007 7:32 am

Note that ratings for current and next gen may not be the same; in fact, they likely are not. Furthermore, this thread hasn't been posted in in 5 months...
