The patch is out!!!

May I suggest that the main page announcement read that this is an unofficial patch? It would only seem fair to EA in case this is not the final version. It seems that many have already mistaken this for an official patch.

Besides, the link to the patch in the announcement doesn't even work.

Just wait for the official patch. So far I tested it, and so far it has not fixed not all that much. Be patient and wait for the Official Patch from EA.

- PG Domination still exist. I'm really good at defense, but holy shit, I'm still getting burnt by a rookie point guard.
- No ESPN Intergration.
- CPU does not fatique.
- Controllers are out of wack. I'm using the Logitech Dual RumblePad Controllers and when I tried to take a charge, my buttons has been changed to number 3 instead of number 7. (yes I know I can fix this in settings, but the patch messed it up for some odd reason.)
- When using a any shooter from a team, the shots seems not smooth anymore. Something has changed.
- The graphics settings looks like it has been tweaked a bit by the patch. Game play seems a little bit of jerky.
I'm not satisfied with this patch. This game gets worse and worse every day....

-The PG domination seems to come and go but i'm playing right now and it seems to be gone
-Go make sure you fatigue effect on and their subs slider up to 100
-thats the default EA gave it, i ahve the same controller
-Shot control is set to CPU, go change it back to user
-no explanation for that last part

everyone who has the game, tell me what you think it deserves now out of a 10. does the patch make the game that much better or should i just wait until the actual official patch comes out and then go buy the game? im only getting the game until the official patch is out AND the new ranking score becomes at least an 8.7 or higher out of 10.

I've just posted this notice on the main site:

As there has been no announcement of the patch's release on the official NBA Live 07 website it seems likely that the file that has become available is the result of a leak and may not yet be the final release. A few people have reported issues with the fix while it appears to be working for others (myself included). I'll post more information on the situation as soon as it becomes available.

I've also emailed my contacts about it, hopefully I'll get confirmation soon. I do actually remember something similar happening with the patch for NBA Live 2004 (or possibly 2005). I think most (if not all) users who had trouble with the leaked patch back then found the official release resolved the problems.

So far it seems to work really well for me the cpu subs in quite often and the only pg domination seems to be the ones that normally score high i did the nets and bobcats and carter scored 40 pts and jefferson 29 and a few others had doubles and for the bobcats the pg had 25 pts but okefor had 29 pts and morrison had 22 so it seems like only the ones who normally would score high do which is good.

Seriously, I'm about to download an 'unlegal' copy so that I can rid myself of the fucking downloader and so I can install this patch. If the patch fixes the crashing to desktop after finishing a game, I'd go to those lengths.

I support people using no-cd cracks, but you have to be intelligent about and at least save the original/patched versions of the files you have to modify to get the no-cd functionality. Putting in CD/DVDs for games I own got old about 10 years ago, just an FYI.

Here's hoping the crash fixes are included in the patch!

i think you put a crack on your game that's why the patch will not install.

I will state one more time that I did not install or use a NO-CD crack and nor has the original Nbalive.exe been changed at all. I have the EA Downloader version of NBA Live 07 and I think that's the issue.

To clarify, has anyone that installed downloadable version from EA Downloader been able to install the patch?

Oh, one more thing. Let's think about this. If I have the EA Downloader version, why the heck would I need a NO-CD alteration? I don't have a CD or DVD to begin with.

I think the idea of the fatigue slider from old games everyone else is bringing up is a good idea...for instance: it should be proportional with stamina. If a player would play 36 minutes in a 48 minute game, he should play 15 in a 20 and therefore he should actually fatigue...although he probly wont....this patch if you play long quarters i think is going to be a savior..if you play short quarters, wait for the official release perhaps and they'll have sliders we can hope

Funny, they didn't even get that "average stats" right. It's true, now you can see averages at the "Team Stats" screen, but can't sort them right.

I loaded up my dynasty, went to the team stats, sorted them by rebounds per game, and got a list, that went something like this:

49,3
43,5
42,7
45,6
47,1

etc.

Hopefully this is a leak, and they'll fix this minor coding error for the official release. But seriously, if they can't get the smallest things right, why on earth they keep making the game? (Don't answer, I know, I know.)

Well good news. I had n3ts3x0r send me his Nbalive07.exe from the original CD-Rom (Or DVD?) version of the game. What I did was insert that .exe into my game directly. I ran the patch and it installed properly. To run the game, I had to put my nbalive07.exe back into the game folder and then simply run it.

The Fatigue Effect option came up in the preferences, so I imagine the patch installed just fine (I wish they had a version identifer in-game, like a v 1.0.1 in the bottom corner).

I did a simple Play Now match with the Mavs and the Suns, 8 minute quarters. Not a single CPU substitution, and at least some of the players were getting fatigued on my team for me to make some subs. Certainly no more PG domination from what I can tell.

Unfortunately, after that game was done I hit "Quit Game" and bam.. I'm suddenly looking at my desktop yet again. So this patch is incomplete and still under works, or not intended for the EA Downloader version (which is what I'm hoping since I had to do .exe shuffling) or they totally neglected the "Quit Game" CTD that so many of us are suffering that have rendered the Season, Playoff, and Dynasty modes completely unplayable. I know I didn't see it in the Readme, but man.. so many users having this problem (mainly us EA Downloaders), when three key features of the game don't even operate properly.. makes it a pretty big thing to "overlook" in my opinion.

Your right, the main part of the patch was the exe and that is probably the reason you are still experiencing issues that the patch might have fixed. I guess EA-downloaded versions will have a specific patch or when the official patch is announced it will support both dvd and the downloader versions.
