Reigning MVP is Canadian.

Thus the argument is over.

Thu Sep 28, 2006 1:32 pm

Canada is the place where all the best there is, best there was, best there ever will bes come from!! And whos to say that they didn't hire any Americans??? Vancouver is not too far from the Canadian-American border. I know lots of Canadians working in America and lots of Americans working in Canada. Just because the game is made in Canada, doesn't mean everyone working at EA Canada is Canadian. EA Canada used to produce good games, I just think they're trying to add new features and they're forgetting the basics along the way.

Looks like that 6th man award in dynasty and season is going to stay in the cupboard and gain a lot of dust.

Good point. Some people might brush it off but remember in Live 2003 Arcade mode was really Simulation? So you had to select Arcade then just set all the rules. I might be wrong I just thought I heard that when the Live 2003 patch was released.

They are screwed because you cant mod them.

You can patch XBOX games. NBA 2K5 and 2K6 were both patched by 2K games.

That was so funny and so depressing at the same time.

goddamnit. I just got the damn game and really no SUBS for the CPU. SHAQ and WADE played for 48 MINS. Time to buy 2k7 man.

Thu Sep 28, 2006 9:44 pm

The Big Problem is not that the CPU is not substituting the Problem is that the CPU gets not weak all the players got the same strengths it does no matter if his stamina is full or low and that makes the whole game unrealistic it is realy frustrating to play against the cpu who never gets weak and that is CHEATING BIG TIME, because when i play the KNICKS against MIAMI i started with CURRY aginst Saq but after the first quarter CURRY ist totally empty and i have to bring James hahahahhaha realy funny Saq play with him like a puppet.Maybe you will they Mourning does the same with him like Saq but its the principle that counts

Thu Sep 28, 2006 10:07 pm

filou33 is exactly right. I'm new to the board and haven't bought Live in a couple of years. I played and 12 minute qtr game last night, and the CPU team never subbed. However, even though their stamina bar was empty, they never showed signs of weakness. The PG had the same burst of speed (turbo) throughout the whole game and played 48 minutes. I have to believe this is related to the problem.

Thu Sep 28, 2006 10:13 pm

I played 48 minutes all-star against the Miami. They only subbed Mourning for Haslem towards the end of 1st qtr, because he was in foul trouble. After Haslem was back for the 3rd qtr, there was no substitutions whatsoever.

Thu Sep 28, 2006 11:15 pm

put the foul out slider in 4 or 3
the cpu will have to make more subs

I can't tell if this is a misspelling or a vague insult.

I've been wondering the same thing... It hasn't been brought up in any of the reviews for the game... Oh well looks like i'll end up having to buy the game and then tell you guys whether I got jipped or not...

There's more players on the bench, and they don't get to see the light. On average, the bench player will likely play a total of 28 minutes in his career.

Fri Sep 29, 2006 2:37 pm

I believe with the effort they put into this game, and its potential to be the best Live to-date, that it is inevitable for them to fix this issue.

Only thing we can do right now to workaround this problem is by increasing the foul sliders. Of course that creates a problem of more foul outs and more free throws and everyone wil have to get into foul trouble in order for the cpu to sub in and out normally.

Good point, I've been thinking the same thing going on what's been said. Did you see some of the demo vids they originally released? My 5 year old nephew has more game...

i wouldn't be so quick to blame the testers. I know people who have done QA work for EA. They work insanely long hours and get paid j*ck. They come up with huge bug reports that are submitted, and then prioritized. A lot of bugs get ignored. What probably happens is some idiot producer says "ah we don't need to fix that. it's not a show stopper". The QA dept for this year was probably slashed too (due to people moving to the 360 QA debt). The PC market for EA is at it's end folks. This shoddy product is proof.

SURE FUCKING DOES......... Made the game unplayable for me.... I got current Gen xbox and this shit ruined the game.

My questions are:

Does this also happen in 360?

Is EA going to release a downloadable patch/fix for xbox live?

Sat Sep 30, 2006 2:50 am

this doesn't happen in the 360 version, but if you have a 360 you shouldn't buy live :)

About the long hours

Sat Sep 30, 2006 2:57 am

The market will take care of it. If EA really treats its workers like shit, they can leave. Programmers knowledge is not only limited to video games. They can work for other software programmers or businesses, all of which require their expertise. If enough people leave, they'll have to change their slave practices.

Who the fuck cares how hard their lives are? I'm exepting a product from them with a certain quality and I don't fucking care what it takes to make it. Are they raped every day by a transvestite called Shirley? I DON'T BLOODY CARE. Do they have to work 25 hours a day? I DON'T BLOODY CARE. I want my patch.
