Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

ur rite. this might not be the final patch. the link says "QA", which means quality assurance. this i think is for ea testers to try out b4 its given the OK for release.

odd michaelc...mine is fine if i click player stats, maybe your computer is just slow to load?
Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:17 pm
SF and C being switched around wasn't an error. It was designed that way this year. The direct pass error were the Dunk and Layup words being mixed up, which has been fixed.
Sorry, I thought it was a bug, just a strange change by EA I guess...
I'm wonderin why the subbing doesn't work for everyone, it seems to work for me, but I'll need to play a full game to see if it causes any new issues.

Maybe it has somethin to do with that save stats patch i installed b4.

Alright i tested out the patch...
The good news: The players sub!
The Bad news: Players don't get fatigued enuff and therefore the bench only plays limited limits, i wish there was a slider for Fatigue effect like in the previous Lives so players get tired more quickly and therefore sub more often...
Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:31 pm
waaaaaaa.my version is riped....i dont know if this will work!!!
but i finished download the patch!!!...
Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:32 pm
its weird my guys are getting tired and playing realistic minutes, i wonder why yalls arent necessarily....
Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:33 pm
The fact that there still appears to be problems not to mention the lack of an announcement on the official site suggests that this fix has leaked and could well still be in the testing stages.
I've tried the patch and it seems to be working fine, no crashes thus far, the CPU subs when players get tired and the other fixes appear to be there too. Nevertheless, those of us who do find the patch is working should probably download it again once the release is made official since there's a chance this could be the pre-release version.

Yeah i have substitution working but i got a Question to you guys who are having realistic subs patterns:
which roster patch are you guys using?
what is your CPU SUB frequency?
and how minutes/quarter do you have the game on?
Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:42 pm
using jimmy's roster v1.7 patch currently (he made an illini player for me so i gotta give him some respect)
100...all the way up, i'm making damn sure they dont cheat
12 right now
I think the idea of the fatigue slider from old games everyone else is bringing up is a good idea...for instance: it should be proportional with stamina. If a player would play 36 minutes in a 48 minute game, he should play 15 in a 20 and therefore he should actually fatigue...although he probly wont....this patch if you play long quarters i think is going to be a savior..if you play short quarters, wait for the official release perhaps and they'll have sliders we can hope
Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:46 pm
Thanks, i had my substitute frequency at 50 and the cpu made subs but not realistic subs.. and i was playing 8min quarters.. So i might try putting the sub frequency to 100 since at 50 it's not very realistic but i don't understand why they didn't make the fatique effect option like last year..
Yeah Illini, i totally agree wit you.. they should make subs proportional the the minutes/quarter u have the game on.. not all ppl play 12min quarters and it wouldn't be fair if u had to just to make the game realistic as possible... I do hope this is not the final patch and are still making adjustments to the sub fix

maceo24 wrote:Those of you using no-cd cracks must revert to the ORIGINAL nbalive.exe file. After it is patched however, You may no longer be able to use your no-cd crack. Use common sense and back your stuff up before you do anything here. I never use CD-cracks cause of this. Is it that hard to put a 2 ounce plastic disc in a tray? Lazy turds, lol.
Yeah, but try doing that for every game you play and it becomes a biiiaatch. It's a piss poor attempt at copy protection. The no CD cracks make playing a game so much easier. Instead of storing all your games (I have 50 and 10 that I play regularly) next to your machine, you can toss the CD's into a closet. Gotta hand it to the guys who do the no CD crack. I think I'd stop playing NBA Live if they stopped making the crack. And I've bought every game since 95. Even 2002 for PS2, the year they screwed PC users by not making it.

Good Point, I only have a steady rotation of 5 (Fifa07, Madden07, Live07, Oblivion, and COD2) Plus I have 2cd drives, lol Oblivion STAYS in one. I guess if i was playing more games it would be a pain. To each his own though.
I'm still waiting for a torrent fag to scream and bitch about not being able to use his pirated game anymore. That Really Grinds My Gears. *petergriffinlaugh*

Seems to work for me. I played one half, Pacers (CPU) @ Bulls, 9 minute quarters, default rosters. Pacers went 11-deep. Tinsley took 12 shots in the first half and went to the FT line five times while no other Pacer took more than 5 shots. So I'm not convinced they addressed the PG primacy issue, although I don't recall them listing that bug among the fixes. Another weird thing, The settings for shot clock and travelling seemed to be defaulted to OFF. I only noticed this when Tinsley called an isolation play and everyone, including Tinsley, just stood in the same spot for almost a full minute. I'm down 51-35 at the half. It probably doesn't help that I've been playing 2k7 for the last month and forgot the controls!

How so? JWL3 makes some valid points about the no-cd cracks, and I agree with him.

Re-installed... patched... uninstalled... selling game on ebay.

The good news obviously is that the CPU sub is working. I'm not really sure how realistic the substitution factor becomes when the CPU subs in players for a few minutes at a time.
I play at 5min quarters with CPU SUB at 85 and USER SUB at 80, and the CPU subbed alot.
I also changed the SHOT CONTROL to USER rather than CPU and noticed the CPU subbed in more frequently (?).
Rockets VS. Knicks

guys, i'm on the side of "what cant switch a cd out?" I have well over 50 games for my PC, i play everything from sports, to sims, to fighters...anything i can afford and get my hands on....and i learned to keep track of my shit and keep it right next to the computer in a storage case...its pretty simple....i mean i understand if you like to keep the game boxes and manuals etc (which you need to do now cuz of cd keys i learned the hard way)...so wait 2 weeks before you buy another game, and buy a nice rack for yourself perhaps?

We can't discuss no-cd cracks used on legit copies of the product?
Duly noted.

Come one upload the patch. The link doesn't work for me. And that is just not fair, that other ppl has it and I don't

- PG Domination still exist. I'm really good at defense, but holy shit, I'm still getting burnt by a rookie point guard.
- No ESPN Intergration.
- CPU does not fatique.
- Controllers are out of wack. I'm using the Logitech Dual RumblePad Controllers and when I tried to take a charge, my buttons has been changed to number 3 instead of number 7. (yes I know I can fix this in settings, but the patch messed it up for some odd reason.)
- When using a any shooter from a team, the shots seems not smooth anymore. Something has changed.
- The graphics settings looks like it has been tweaked a bit by the patch. Game play seems a little bit of jerky.
I'm not satisfied with this patch. This game gets worse and worse every day....

Oh yea, btw I play 6 min. Quaters. I hate playing anything longer than that bc the score comes out to be too unrealistic.
