Cy BerFuk wrote:Jonathan could you tell what is the highest dunk pack number the edit dunk pack feature allows?

From the players.dbf that was posted, the highest number I saw was 16.

Kobe, McGrady, Josh Smith, Lebron, Dominique Wilkins, Jason Richardson, Iguodala, VC, Julius Erving, Charlie Villanueva, and George Mikan all had dunkpack 16.

Interestingly, Shaq has his own dunk package - 15. Nobody else has it.

Dunkpack 14 - Elton Brand, Wilt the Stilt, Ben Wallace, J. Oneal, Dwight Howard, Alonzo Mourning

Only 3 players have a dunkpack of 13 - David Robinson, Moses Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Dunkpack 12 - Corey Maggette, J.R. Smith, Ricky Davis, Dominique Wilkins again?, Kevin Mchale?, Desmond Mason, Shawn Marion.

Dunkpack 11 - Kevin Garnett, Chris Wilcox, Amare Stoudemire, Dwayne Wade, C. Webb, Bosh, Stromile Swift.

Dunkpack 10 - D. Wade?, Baron Davis, Clyde Drexler, and Robert Swift.

I skipped the rest, Dunkpack 0 - Bruce Bowen(he can't dunk?), Earl Monroe, Hal Greer, Anthony Roberson, Paul Arizin, Fransisco Garcia, and my favorite, Ref Referee.

Villanueva??? what the fuck? that dunk pack is higher than the total number of hairs on his body

Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:05 pm

Nash, Shaq, Dirk and Peja have all got their own Free Throw Ritual from what i have seen in that .DBF

come on guys give him a break, i was annoyed last year when all people wanted was to find out about the game and all i wanted to do was play it

Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:18 pm

ok i already buy the game even though i dont have a dvd-rom (going to buy 1 tomorrow). The game cost P1,156.25 (+138.75 12%Vat damn it!) or $23.125. My first impression was the price was cheap. The CD-house (or whatever you call it) contains only a 1 PC-DVD and a black and white installation paper. It had hologram sticker from hongkong/singapore . I was surprised from what i saw i mean the other nba live series have a box then a colored installation manual and some other manual.

Let's see tomorrow how is the gameplay etc etc.

Also whats the draft like. Not the first one with the real players...but the one after that with the first lot of generated rookies. Are they realistic? I hope there are no PG's with 90 speed and 40 quickness. And vice versa.

I haven't finished a whole season yet, but i did browse through the draft (there's an ESPN Mock Draft by the way, quite nice. See image below), and the heights seems better now. There are still some 6'2" and 6'3" SG and a 6'7" PF, but overal it's ok. I didn't notice the speed and quickness ratings.

Thanks a lot !

Yes, you can pass during a lay up.. i haven't even tried dunking yet (stupid me), so don't know about passing from there.

Not easy, but I managed to drive a several times with Jason Williams and Dwayne Wade. Mostly on high post picks.

Yes, the press box camera is more TV-like now.

JonathanAu, first off, thanks for your patience, if it was me i would be playing the game nonstop. a couple of questions:

a) Hows the post play?

b) How much of the sliding is eliminated, on a 1-10 scale, 1 being ice skating, 5 being Live 06, and 10 being real life

c) Any difference in the net animation and/or sounds?

Thanks mate for this. Hows the team chemistry going? if someone hasnt asked it yet. Does it go for the sim or the sim and game as well?

It doesn't seem to affect gameplay.. at least not obviously.
I haven't gone through a season long enough to tell how this affects wins and losses.

Here's how it looks like:

Damn that looks great man. Do you got msn? i wanna talk more.

Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:54 pm

Sean May not liking Felton much is weird, they must have had a fight or something

Thanks for the info Jonathan, have you tried any trades yet? If so does it seem like they are more realistic, and do the CPU teams make trades?

Tue Sep 26, 2006 10:03 pm

Ea stays with RIDICULOUS menu screen at 640x480 res...

Tue Sep 26, 2006 10:06 pm

ahh, can u actually trade draft picks with the CPU now? they used to deny everything unless u offered something outrageous. That black/white interface is looking slick

Tue Sep 26, 2006 10:08 pm

Mark. wrote:Sean May not liking Felton much is weird, they must have had a fight or something

it's the other way around. Felton doesn't like Sean May.
It's the player on the left (with the portrait), and how he feels about the players on the right.

Haven't tried trading yet.
