His popularity amongst fans has nothing to do with his two MVP awards though. A select group of media representatives votes for the MVP.

true thats a known fact but that doesnt take away from him being one of the most popular players in the league, he got voted as an all star starter by the fans this year

i just checked out the jersey sales for this year and nash is #12 while wade is #1

as a matter of fact there are no white players in the top 10 at all.

Absolutely, but you seemed to be attributing his two MVP awards to his fanbase. He's certainly popular and recognisable which would make him a suitable candidate to be a cover player.

Rodney Rogers scored 9 points in 9 seconds once, lets throw him on the cover.

and i got two blocked shots in five minutes. can i be on?

really, you're going to give him the cover because of thirteen fucking seconds? t-mac played well for 13 seconds. Nash, Kobe, Wade, Shaq, and several other players have all done it for several years.

i believe that right now LeBron has the best chance...
if not LeBron most likely Steve Nash

you might also want to look at the aspect of what Live '07 is focusing on for the next year
i think that might change a couple of things

Lebron is the most logical choice at this point, but then again he'll probably ask for a lot of money that EA wants to keep... so I would say they would go young with maybe Chris Paul?? Dirk would be a good option with his success in the playoffs, if not on all covers on the Euro ones at least.

I'd like to see dirk or leBron on the cover. LeBron is young, and is obviously going to be there in the future, so Dirk would be my choice. I don't think T-Mac's season has justified a place on the cover. Thats my 2cents.

I don't think Dirk has a chance to be on the cover of Live (The American release) cause he's not American and he isn't THAT popular yet specially in the States. LeBron is the favourite and I'm not sure about Nash he's got the Canadian factor but those two MVP crown would wipe out that Canadian factor possibly. It's basically those two in my opinion, not sure why they would put T-Mac on it this year.

I'd love to see Elton Brand if the game wasn't going to be highly likely to be shit, last thing I want to see is Elton on the cover of another crap Live release. :shake:

u say that like the ONLY highlight of tmacs career was those 30 seconds.... did you not realise that he was an allstar for like 3 years before that day....?

and dont even try to undermine what he did, that was one of the best clutch performances ever.... name another player who has scored 13 in 35, including a game winner?? hmm?

u dolt.

The released video features Wade -and- McGrady, to be correct about it.

Tracy McGrady= Not really all that marketable.

My vote goes to Steve Nash or Lebron. Possibly Dirk.

Well obviously ur wrong now that T-Mac is our cover boy :)
