This sites owners and administrators are only interested in getting free trips from Electronic Arts and holding hope for getting a job... example, Tim, who assisted (or didn't) in pushing out this crap game - NBA Live 07.

This sites owners are not interested in getting results, they are scared to hurt EA's feelings. They remove post that EA doesn't want - it will hurt EA's pocket book. Wake up people! I don't know what you are scared of... Stand up, and be men! Let EA know we are sick of them more money year after year for a poor product.

I posted a review of NBA 2k7 to give the forums supporters an option -- support 2K Sports for porting a PC version of there game. The post was locked after I posted it, so nobody can respond.

Lets see how long it takes for this post to be blocked or deleted. Then, you see my point.

Do you not see the petition? The ongoing back and forths with EA and Donatello, benjii, Jackal...?

All I'm saying people is we are selling ourselves short by supporting an inferior product - NBA Live 07, and putting up with waiting for them to fix something that is bad in comparison, even if they fix a few bugs which any idiot testing this game could have identified playing just 15 minutes. EA is a discrace!

We need to support another vendor that knows how to take care of true NBA Basketball simulation game enthusiast. 2K Sports

We already have 15 pages in this section. Most with complains and talking about the same issues. That's why they are locking some useless threads like this one.

Well, from what I've been seeing, we are standing up. I've seen more totalitarian boards, and this one is not it. Maybe you're implying that Tim started working for the Live team in 2001 and ever since, we haven't seen games that were as fun as Live 2000?

andrew already said that it's a dissapointment that the game came out with these bugs, donatello took the initiative to get a response from a EA representative and so did other mods.

if they were like you said they are, 95% of the posts regarding this years game would be deleted or locked, which is not the case.

your thread got locked because a) there is a petition to fix the bugs stickied on this forum. b) there is a petition to 2k sports to port their game on PC posted in the other games forum. c) your review about 2k7 belongs into the other games forum where there already is a thread about 2k7 impressions / reviews.

if you want your own thread try posting something that doesn't belong somewhere else on the forum, and something that hasn't been already posted before. if you want to give further insight about a topic that's been already discussed post a reply in the corresponding thread.

OMG I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, its actaully quiet obvious, and I dont blame Tim or any of these guys cuz hey, we all want thing to happen for ourselves, not alot of unselfish people in this world so its hard to blame the selfish really. But if this board wants to keep getting these interviews and pre previews from EA sports then these guys woudl have to keep sucking up and deleting posts such as these. Its wrong but sadly the truth, I agree with you 100%, waht has ea done for us, they have such a HUGE budget and they DO not care about the fans, Again I dont blame them because thye are simpyl trying to make moeny, but yea its pathetic how some poeple jsut refused to stand up and atleast protest, because EA is just sitting back and laughing at all of us, we seem to be powerless, they keep making moeny so they could care less. I beleive 2k sports is more loyal to fans but thats maybe because they arent yet as big as EA.

If that were the case, then the 2K petition for PC in the Other Games section would have been deleted days ago. This site also is independent from EA's clutches that is why you can still read "fuck EA" posts.

And? What have they accomplished? I'm about results, solutions, action!

Until I see a patch for NBA Live 07, nothing has been done... just a lot of "back and forths". EA will not even make a true statement regarding the petition, nor has given this board a clue as to if or when they will push a patch.

That's what we're aiming for, though. As soon as we get 300 signatures, the petition will be sent and we'll be waiting for a response. Benji is going to send the letter soon, so we should expect a response. Donatello hopefully will get a response today, so we'll see.

I know we want results, and we're trying. If I don't hear anything in the next two weeks, then bigger steps will be taken.

conlintolv04, I don't think Andrew or any of the moderators are in EA's pocket. Jae and Matthew are unabashed 2K fans aren't they? I think Yohance fits in there too. Andreas and Andrew like Live and are more willing than, for example, I to give them a bit of slack. But I don't think either one is exactly defending EA here, Andrew hasn't said anything defending EA and Andreas has signed onto the letter I started.

If anything, your accusation falls apart on the face that Andrew has been absolutely moderate since the game's release. He's not out defending EA but he's also not savaging them. We have extremists on the forum who are defending EA and saying they're great and they'll fix everything. And we have one's who are the "fuck EA" type who would like to burn down their offices. I certainly don't know or haven't spoken to Andrew, but I'd say he's probably very disappointed with EA even if he's not going to make a bunch of "fuck EA" style front-page news items. (That's for us extremists to do on our own sites.)

Considering this is a NBA Live fan community and therefore would naturally lean to EA's side, they've not exactly been in EA's pocket. The 2K petition has been stickied, as has the patch petition, most prominent members have signed onto the letter and further effort against the pereceived dereliction of duty by EA. An effort that hasn't been quashed by the administration, if only because they're part of it.

Your review was probably moved to "Other Games" or closed because there are a lot of repetitive threads and places to post things already. If anything, they're trying to control things, not suppress them.

You don't really have a clue how the real world works, do you? First of all, a petition isn't worth a grain of salt if it is submitted with 50 signatures. That's why something like this has to be open for a few days/weeks before it even makes sense to submit it.
And then the ball is still in EA's hands - if they don't want to do anything, no petition in the world will change anything. They only thing that can hurt them is a loss in sales...

So where are they then? Seems to me all you brought to these forums are pointless duplicate threads, things already discussed in detail in the correct sections. And not even an attempt at a solution.

Ben's post pretty much summed up everything anyone wanting to defend Andrew and the other mods would want to say.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions cuntlickto04, but if you're going to be trying to convince others of the fact that Andrew and other moderators are owned by EA, that's where regular posters who know Andrew and the other moderators will draw a line. We aren't drawing a line because we're afraid of EA, no, it's because you're disrespecting prominent members that keep this community running.

You can't just go in to someones house, disrespect them and expect to be fully supported. The people living in that house will beat the shit out of you. If I still had access to the bancontrol thing, I wouldn't have hesitated to ban you. Not because I don't appreciate or accept your opinions on our community leaders, but because you are disrespectful and not willing to think about or accept anyone else's opinion regarding the issue.

I suppose you're lucky I'm not in a position to do so anymore, but as a regular everyday poster, I won't miss you if you weren't around anymore. We've got sufficient incompetent clammed up posters who aren't willing to listen to anyone besides their own ramblings, one less won't kill the boards.

I may have made some harsh statements, but I get sick of EA dictating what goes on this site and site administrators/moderators complying.

In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy the gift of NBA 2k7. Again, I suggest everyone try it. You don't know what your missing till you see it for yourself. It is an unbelievable game not an unbeliebable disappointment... Live ##

Well, personally I'm just waiting until I have funds to buy NBA 2K7. I'm attempting to get results on Live because of my long history with the series and the community. I'm certainly one to not let EA dictate anything, as we shouldn't beholden to them just because they make the game. As you clearly recognize, you were just angry and had a little hyperbole in your first post. It's understandable.

You know even if by chance 2k sports did port to pc, it would be the same thing, no competition, not to mention some people will find bugs and then everybody will start to go bug hunting just like this version of live everybody picking the game apart just like with somebody on one of the posts oh my god i can't change a players shoes, i mean god come on just rediculous posts like that, i mean sure this game has a couple of major bugs, but dayyyummm its not half as bad as people are saying it is and as far as all the bugs are concerned all they are is rumor till they show up in my game they don't exsist. I think its all just a attempt to grasp at straws cuz a few people are mad they want to just rip the game instead of trying to enjoy it. besides look at last year, Bitching nonstop= no patch constructive criticizm yes but nonstop beligerant remarks accusations, will get us absolutly nowhere. For example if it were reversed and you were the one that put this game out and all you heard was that it was crappy or you sucked you wouldn't patch the game either. Just like the patchers on this site if somebody keeps telling them their patches suck sooner or later they are just gonna quit making them or at least not release them to the public,, and i'm not putting anybody down or judging anybody as you all have a right to your opinions about the game, but lets get real here ea is not the one screwing us every year we screw ourselves by buying the product year after year then bitching about it nonstop, simple solution just don't buy it anymore, then you got nuthin to complain about, I will be the first to admit ea seemed to drop the ball on this game, but on the other hand we didn't give them a chance to address the issues, instead everybody went ea bashing. We all know about all or most of the bugs and problems with this game we don't need to keep be reminded of them. I for one am having a blast with this game, and even more so now that some patchers have released some nice patches, so plain and simple if you like the game make due, if you don't like it take it back.
