v2.3 released...

Postby Andrew on Wed Nov 12, 2008 6:58 pm

Welcome to the official support thread for v2.3 of the NLSC current roster update for NBA Live 07.

Andrew wrote:A new version of the NLSC current roster update for NBA Live 07 is now available to download here. The roster includes transactions and lineups accurate as of November 11th (so yes, the Iverson/Billups deal is included). See below for a full features list.

Key features of v2.3:
- 2008/2009 Season Rosters accurate as of November 11th, 2008
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
- East/West All-Stars Updated for All-Star Weekend 2008
- Rookie/Sophomore teams Updated for All-Star Weekend 2008
- Player Accessories Updated
- Contract & Salary Info Updated
- Seattle Supersonics changed to Oklahoma City Thunder
- Logos, courts and jerseys updated for the 2008/2009 season
- Fixed Installation Routine
- Fixed Shoes

Additional Release Notes
 1. I've re-added the option to select the installation folder in this version. The installation should detect the main game folder automatically but in case it doesn't, you can select it yourself.
 2. In the event that the installation folder is displayed as something like C:\PROGRA~1\EASPOR~1\NBALIV~1, it should mean the installation has detected the correct folder. If in doubt, feel free to select the main folder manually. Make you select the main folder though, not the sgsm folder as the installation is set to install the files to (Main NBA Live 07 folder)\sgsm.
 3. If you do run into any problems with the installation, please let me know. All the usual feedback is still most welcome but as usual, please keep it constructive!

I got a problem with all the updates for this season!

when I try to play a disnaty mode, the file players.dbf gets an error, as if that would be a corrupt file, and then my NBA Live 07 cannot follow running...it never happened with the updates from last season..and...I am really tired and surprised about it, I have reinstalled the game 4 or 5 times, and i have tried even copying directly the new files in the folder working database, but still nothing..what can the problem be???? any solution?????

Thanks in advance.

Try deleting the files in the workingdb and currentdb folders. I've tested the rosters and there shouldn't be any problems with the players.dbf file included in the rosters.

Nice update, as usual :) . Here are a few comments:
 • Allan Houston and Adrian Griffin are retired (check hoopshype.com on Nov. 4 & 7), so maybe you can move them to the Legends pool
 • Robin Lopez body color does not fit with his head:

No worries about Houston and Griffin, I'll deactivate them. Looks like Robin Lopez' cyberface doesn't have an alpha on it which is why it's being displayed like that.

thanks for the answer!
but unfortunately it doesn't work!! there are some problems with courts (at least with the oklahoma one) and with shirts (oklahoma and the new shirts of most other teams can't be used because they are simply not there) !

is it right to only install your roster without saving/changing something?
have i made somethig wrong?

It means the installation was not able to detect your installation folder properly. Please consult Faces Troubleshooting.txt for more info.

thanks for the answer!
i checked it and all files are/were in the right folder!!
when i select oklahoma and play on their courts, there are heads of players (i think) in the arena outside the field on the floor!
i can choose their right shirt, but they play with the old seattle one!!

is it normal that not all teams have updated shirts? i only have updates for a few of them!

thanks for your help!!

If the Seattle jerseys are still showing up, it means that you have a patch for the Sonics jerseys in your sgsm folder that the game is loading instead of the art in the .viv files. Check your sgsm folder, you probably have files called seathome.fsh and seataway.fsh. Delete them, and the Thunder jerseys should show up.

No problem, glad it's working for you. :) I've probably forgotten to fix the court problem up in the last update, I'll need to check that out before the next release.
