first of all, tnx again for the rosters. since i don't play nba live 08 (i find it disgrace to "live" franchise) this roster patch is somewhat essenital to me. i would like to post few suggestion for v1.19 version (which will be, i hope, as soon as trades are over).

in "uninjured" rosters:

1. to put reggie evans as a starting pf for the sixers, instead of young (he is sf and he started only 8 games, evans started 45 and he is true pf);

2. to put anthony carter as a starting pg for the nuggets and switch iverson to sg (j.r, smith is coming of the bench all season long);

3. to put boone as a starting center for the nets (instead of magloire, who comes of the bench all season long);

4. to put landry into rockets' 12 man rotation instead of snyder (who is not injured but he isn't getting his minutes);

5. to put vaughn into spurs' 12 man rotation instead of matt bonner (same as snyder);

6. to put jeff mcinnis into bobcats' 12 rotation instead of earl boykins (mcinnis is the first backup pg for raymond felton);

7. think also to put troy murphy into pacers' starting lineup instead of jeff foster;

8. and maybe i think that sergio rodriguez should be into blazers' 12man rotation instead of raef lafrentz.

i would also like if you could put new players' rattings for every player and if you could put 2006/2007 final rosters but with all the right coaches from the last season.

Andrew thank you for this patch, as one who use the 07 version it's very essenital.

I have a question, is it possible to combined with your roster and the supreme update mode?

Thanks for the feedback MadbaLL, I'll certainly try to put it to good use. I might release a seperate update for the 2006/2007 season, I removed those rosters from v1.18 to try and keep the size of the download as it is.

no problem, i'm glad i can help by any means. i hope you will find those infos useful. concerning 2006/2007 rosters, you can release them as a separate patch (when you find time for that, i hope you will not forget about it).

i also hope you will edit some players' ratings to better reflect real life game.

p.s. can you add/remove sleevs on the arms and headbangs? some players are missing it (sleevs - gerald wallace, kobe bryant etc) and some players need headbangs (eddie house, larry hughes, etc), while from others they need to be removed (like baron davis).

I'd prefer to release it as a seperate update, though I won't be updating it beyond the initial release as with the current roster update.

Sure, I'm happy to change player accessories wherever necessary. If you or anyone else provides me with a list, I'll go ahead and make them for future updates. :) I only get to see the games shown here in Australia so I do sometimes miss the finer details like that, particularly for teams who don't get any airtime here.

If you have any specific suggestions for player ratings, please let me know about them too.

@andrew

i edited and updated that list for uninjured rosters above (i doublechecked the rosters and i made some corrections, so this is the final list what should be done in next update). here is the final list:

in "uninjured" rosters:

1. to put reggie evans as a starting pf for the sixers, instead of young (he is sf and he started only 8 games, evans started 45 and he is true pf);

2. to put anthony carter as a starting pg for the nuggets and switch iverson to sg (j.r, smith is coming of the bench all season long);

3. to put boone as a starting center for the nets (instead of magloire, who comes of the bench all season long);

4. to put landry into rockets' 12 man rotation instead of snyder (who is not injured but he isn't getting his minutes);

5. to put vaughn into spurs' 12 man rotation instead of matt bonner (same as snyder);

6. to put jeff mcinnis into bobcats' 12 rotation instead of earl boykins (mcinnis is the first backup pg for raymond felton);

7. think also to put troy murphy into pacers' starting lineup instead of jeff foster;

8. and maybe i think that sergio rodriguez should be into blazers' 12man rotation instead of raef lafrentz.

and now the players' accessories list:

rajon rondo - put the headbang
eddie house - put the headbang
jason richardson - remove the headbang
gerald wallace - add the white sleeve on the left arm and the headbang
larry hughes - add the headbang and white sleeve on a left arm
baron davis - remove the headbang
kobe bryant - add the white sleeve on a right arm
pau gasol - remove right arm accessorie
dwyane wade - add the black sleeve on the left arm
jason williams - remove accessories from lef/right arm
zach randolph - remove the headbang
t.j. ford - put the headbang
deshawn stevenson - remove the headbang

other things to fix:

new jersey nets arena - i think it's "izod center", not "continental airlines arena"
nazr mohammed - wrong number, it should be 6, not 14
juan carlos navarro - wrong position, it should be shooting guard, not pg
danny granger - check the height, in your rosters it's 6-9, on nba.com it's 6-8
raymond felton - also check the height, on nba.com he's 6-1

How does teh update work?

Postby TonyZ on Wed Feb 20, 2008 1:25 pm

Hey Andrew, I new to this, but after download your roster update and installing it, i didn't see any changes in my NBA Live 07 roster (i check the option-load/saved for the 2007/08 roster too, but didn't find anything except my saved files) Can you please tell me the instructions on how it works? Thanks.

@andrew

just to let you know... please fix primacy issue for UNINJURED rosters. while it pretty much works with current rosters, it's not quite balanced in uninjured ones. for example, i'm getting very few fg attempts by garnett, nowitzki, jermain o'neal, shaquile o'neal, dwight howard, kobe bryant, lebron james, tim duncan, amare stoudamire, rasheed wallace, yao ming, chris bosh... please be kind to fix it as best as you can.

p.s. t.j. ford - put the headbang and new jersey nets arena - shouldn't it be "izod center" instead of "continental airlines arena"?

If it's installed correctly, you should have two roster saves available to load: NLSC0708 and 0708Uninjured. Please note they will not affect a Dynasty game in progress.

Hi Andrew, nice update, as usual. I think you mispelled the name of Thomas Gardner, you called him "Gardener"

I have one question: did you use generic cyberfaces for the latest created players, CJ Watson and Keith Langford? You added a FSH file for each of them, but they both have the same face in the game.

Thanks for the heads up on that, I'll fix it up. (Y), Yes, I used generic faces for those players as well as any others I don't have updated face patches for.

It's not included in the roster update. That's the art that's in the game by default.

Nice job on the patch. The only thing that bothers me is its a lot harder to hit open jump shots. I cant ever seem to make any anymore.
Allen Iverson passing on family values:

A.I.: son, what you doing there?
A.I.'s son: practicing my math for my test tommorow
A.I: practice? practice? we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test - practice. we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test, not the test - practice.

The current plan with v1.19 (out tomorrow) is the same as v1.03 of the 08 update. It will feature projected lineups for the Bulls, Cavs and Sonics and then future updates will be updated as those players make their debut and the new rotations become known.

i checked the starting lineups for the "uninjured" rosters in your latest roster update for live 08 and i think you made a few little mistakes (i know it's all by assumption, but this is what i've found by reading the reports all over the internet). for the live 07 the starting lineups for "uninjured" roster you should go with these lines:

chicago: pg - hughes, sg - gordon, sf - deng, pf - gooden, c - noah

cleveland - pg - gibson, sg - pavlovic, sf - james, pf - smith, c - ilgauskas

minnesota - pg - foye, sg - mccants, sf - gomes (brewer), pf - jefferson, c - ratliff

p.s. nets' magloire and pistons' murray are put on waivers and you should put dudley into bobcats' 12 rotation instead of earl boykins.
