Changing detail setting on existing dynasty mode

All,

I can't seem to change the detail settings to maximum on my existing dynasty mode. When I'm on my dynasty the Environment setting is grayed out, the environtment setting is set to high and I want to change it to maximum.
I can set the environment to maximum on the main screen but when I load my dynasty it goes back to high.

Anyone had an idea to fix this?
