HAS PG DOMINATION BEEN RESOLVED?

I stop playing the game about 2 months ago because PG domination just annoyed the hell out of me. Has anyone been able resolve this problem! If so, please let me know so I can try playing the game again.

It wasn't addressed by the official patch but various solutions (editing playbooks, Jimmy's gameplay fix etc) have been put forth by the community with varying degrees of success.

Which one has the best result. Can you provide a link?

As Andrew said results vary person to person so its best to just go to the Live Announcements section, read a couple threads and get a general idea then choose for yourself which you think is the best.

I tried most of them and not one works really well. Some of them eliminated PG domination but it messed up game play even more. This game really sucks..if anyone find a good solution, let me know.

I played a triple overtime game (5 min quarters) in which Dan Dickau scored 74 points. It was fucking ridiculous.

After downloading Pdub's patch, the pg domination has been greatly reduced or ended and the real stars takeover the game (which is a good thing).

I'm curious, was there ever a fix for the current gen console versions?

Unfortunately for console players, there wasn't.

another thing u can do is DEFEND!!! just stick to the opposing pg like glue....make them PASS the ball......

If you stick to them like glue, they just blow past you.

yep. i downloaded Jimmy's thing and now it's almost even worse. it takes 3 sec for the PG to go down the court cuz he does a long pass to the SF. SF drives passes to the big men for layups. this happens almost EVERYDAY! most SFs get mad assists vs. me.

I've patched my version and it seemes to have helped. Last night played Suns (me) vs. Clippers (CPU) and Elton Brand scored big as did Kamen and Livingston had 12 assists, so I'm not seeing the PG domination as I was earlier. Also, I think I'm playing better defense, which means more passes. I even forced them into a shot clock violation once!

Live has had this problem for at least 4-5 years now. I used to just think it was because I used the Lakers and Derek Fisher didn't have top notch defense...but nah, it's a lot more than that. It's really trash...I'll do a game like Lakers vs Old school Bulls to see Kobe go at it with Jordan...but then Ron Harper would get 28 points, and Jordan would have 12 after only shootin like 6-7 times!!

i play on xbox 360, and what has worked the best for me is simply setting my defense to automaticlly doubleteam the point gaurd. they will always pass out of the doubleteam instead of chucking up a shot every time down the floor.

Well without patch installed and without messing with the sliders, i was able to minimize point guard penetration. On defense, I just make sure my big man (Center/PF) runs down the court and make sure he's positioned inside or on the no-charge lane under the hoop (watch out for the defensive 3 seconds). This way the point guard backs-out and set's up a play and not penetrate. I observed that if you don't have someone in there expect the opposing PG to drive in and make those crazy lay-ins. also it would help if you have a C that has blocking ability. I use the Kings and found it more effective defending the lane if i use J.Williams (tall, quick and can block shots). I've tried this and finished playoffs and won the finals with the Kings. (4 mins-Superstar level).
