Fshed error help

how do you fix this error "the file you are trying to open is not a valid EA SHP File" then its follewed bay "access violation. PLEaSE HELP!

FshED's fairly outdated now as Brien has retired from the community and is no longer updating it. I believe you have to use FshX instead.
