the game crashes when the date comes to the trading of players in off-season..

As soon as I finish the trade part, before the Hire Staff part, the game freezes up, and I need to use Ctrl,Alt,Del several times to close it out......

Probably a DBF file error. Have you editied the DBF's at all? Further, maybe try uninstalling any patches you've installed to see if that is the cause.

I have had same problems in 05, I think it happened because you made a mistake editing .dbf files.
