Dalembert and the gift of morphing...

Thu Oct 12, 2006 11:47 pm

Guys tell me if something like this happened to you... I'm playing in dynasty mode, my starting C is Samuel Dalembert. Suddenly, after 4-5 games, he gets injured, so i have to do my rotation again. I put my back up center (Lo' Wright) as starter...and u know what happened??? Wright is in the game, with his abilities, his shooting stile, his ratings...but he looks like Dalembert!!! They will even call him Wright, but he is Dalembert... Now this is another incredible gift from EA. maybe some players want to play so hard that, when injured, they change their jersey name and play anyway, without coaches or referees recognizing them...wow...Sci-fi!

And let me tell you this happened twice, in 2 different dynasty, always with Dalembert...

2) Why if i want to play small, using tim thomas or Walter mccarthy as a center, the cpu doesnt let me, and changes my player right the way? any way to solve this?

This game is a outofthisworld experience, something between the sims, x-men, and a lil bit of a basketball game.

2) Turn your user substitution slider to 0 and the cpu won't sub for your players, but you will have to manually sub your players.

You could try a lower setting if you still want the cpu to sub your players out. Maybe with a lower setting, like 25, the cpu will sub out players in foul trouble but won't replace your manual subs. I'm not sure.

the cpus sub patterns are based on how your playing time is divided in the roster menu. If you want to truly set your own lineups without hassles, You will have to buckle down and just minutes the sub/minutes/lineups yourself.

Player morphing... hmm... experienced this one time... Luke Ridnour got injured then the next game, Jaric was supposed to start in his place... Lo and behold, Luke was still there.... but all references to him were of Marko Jaric.

A few games later, Chris Bosh got hurt... So Varejao was supposed to start in his place... My "assistant coach" claims he already fixed up my rotation but I decided to make adjustments to my starting lineup prior to my next game (not in the roster management screen but in the screen prior to loading the game). There I saw the problem, Bosh was still the starter.... so I switched to Varejao and boom, no more morphing problem.

I made a load of trades to start a Celtics dynasty. Seven (7) games later after the trades were made the lineups finally change. Hilarious.

I don't know why I bought this game after all the crap I heard about it too. Not cool.
