What will you alternative be? Play Live 06? Not play basketball for PC anymore?

I'm fairly confident that if EA releases a patch that addresses the two most major glitches in the game, not only will it be very playable, but extremely enjoyable, especially with the work all the great patchers here are putting in, not only in the visual side of the game, but in gameplay, etc. as well.

As somebody who has played MVP 05 extensively, I assure you the released patches made a monumental difference in gameplay (those that were not just roster updates, that is).

Relax, the things are gonna be fixed in the patch will make the game only theoritically playable, but not enjoyable.
They are gonna fix things like the crashing, the "I can't play on player lock mode because the 5 sec's thing" and etc.
