Is there anyone here that plays on the PS2, if so what are your opinions? The good and bad?

Been playing it for two days. The controls have been majorly altered and it's very difficult to get used to and a little frustrating.

Icon switching buttons are different...the L2 button acts as a sort of trigger that turns on and off when you hit it...though sometimes the icons are up and you'll shoot instead of pass and vice versa.

Dynasty is fun...love the fixed rookies...they actually have superstars in the draft now.

At first glance I thought you had Rick Ashley as your Avatar, it's actually Marky Mark. The reason why I didn't try playing 2k basketball games before was because of the different controls. i didn't want to get confused so I stuck with Live, but now you're saying that the controls is different, I might as well try 2k7.

I also have the PS2 version. All the bugs that are in the PC version also applies to the PS2. I'd rate it 6/10. I feel that it could have been better. However, ESPN integration is available on the PS2 (not as deep as next-gen). And the roster cut-off date was July 27. We could be potentially playing an older build of Live 07. the game is plagued w/ so many bugs.

The only 82 games, yes. Which sucks.

So far I'd rate it 7.5/10...but it's still too early to make a call.

PS: Did you notice that wallpaper in the background of Dynasty Mode? It looks strangely...pornographic.

For those guys who want realistic gameplay, that's pretty important. Especially with fatigue on. What's the point of having a bench if you're not going to use it?

I got the game 2 days ago and have only played one exhibition game so far. I didnt like it very much, it just wasnt fun for me. But then again I havent tried all the game modes yet, and I did stroll into Wal*Mart drunk at 4 in the morning to buy the game when I heard it was out haha, so maybe the alcohol had an effect on it that made the game suck. But I doubt it.. :?

Having now played 2-player...I'm upping my rating from 7.5 to 8.0...it's a blast.

It's a lot more fun when both people have to deal with all the new controls. And the Freestyle Superstar switching adds a LOT to the game. If you're on player-lock, it's not too hard to switch Superstar types in mid-play.

We used the Western Conference All-Stars against the East (an Exhibition not the All-Star game)...I was Nash the whole game. I figured out pretty quick that when he was a Playmaker, two R3 clicks made him a shooter, and when I was a shooter one-click made him a Playmaker again.

I managed to start the play with some Superstar pass (the Pistol-Pete bounce and wind is in the game and it looks f-ing amazing), then switch back to a shooter and wait for him to kick it out if he was doubled.

Plus Dynasty Mode is much improved. I must admit this is a lot of fun.

It loos like someone with their legs spread about to sit down on a Football or sex toy. I'm not kidding.

Yes, the rating schemes make a lot more sense. We got the #1 pick and took a PF who had Excellent Potential that ESPN had as #1 all year long. He was an 87 OVR, now in his second year he's a 91. He can rebound, has 99 strength, can take people off the dribble and even hit the three when open...basically like Antoine on steroids.

A lot of the players are like that. I have a feeling that there will be plenty of superstars now once you get past the point that all the "real" guys retire.
