No it's for next gen, if you got linked to the same video I got, it has been floating around here for a while, it showcases the next gen versions signature jumpshots.

Two points to make on this.

EA has sent me two emails in the last two days, both are marketing emails about NBA Live 07. Both emails tell me to buy the game because of all the new features. One of the most highlighted new features mentioned is signature jump shots, but neither email mentions that sig shots are not in the PC version. Sig shots have been one of the major selling points EA has mentioned, without bothering to let PC people know it wouldn't be in their game.

Signature shots are animations that have nothing to do with game play. One sig shot is not harder to block than another, they're just marketing fluff designed to sell games, rather than add anything to actual game play. Rather than focus on features, they make animations. Rather than fix things like not being able to set a pick if locked on a player, rather than even make sure the game works (the substitution bug,) the entire focus is on graphics and animations.

The PC version in particular has been neglected. It's too bad there is no competition for this game on the PC. Right now it would be pretty easy for a developer to make a superior game.

I also had the impression that the PC version has signature jumpshots. EA has really misled all the PC gamers who bought this game. I'd really want to sue them but consumer protection in Singapore is very weak.

well I can say that in 2k7 at least you have to card players differently depending on their shot styles, mostly because they release the ball at different times. I would assume that at least for next gen, it would be the same. I thought it was a great selling point as it can add a whole lot of style to the game - players come to life

ea lied to us, again, saying that current gen would have sig shots and it doesnt

EA Sports & EA CAnada have become quite good at making fluff.
