Partial solution for PG dominance

Postby Babolhos on Sun Oct 01, 2006 8:47 am

I was messing with the sliders to see what could be done to made the game playable and I foud something that works.

The CPU Pro-Hoop Efectiveness e Drop-Step Efetiveness is by default 70 each, and the player default is set to 0. That's why CPU pass the player defender easy and the other way it's not true.
I put CPU and Player in 25 and PG couldn't pass to me every time anymore, conclusion: the PG have to pass more (not the most it should, but the CPU is not taking 50% of the shots with PG.
Other thing that helps is rise the "Fisical defense" and "on ball help defense" for Player, it also help stops that easy CPU basket when one on one.

I try it during 4 quarters against diferent team and point guards no 12 quarter SUPERSTAR: stats for 1 quarter:

Utha - PG 3/7 of 25 CPU shots;
Golden Stata - PG 4/9 of 27 CPU shots;
New Jersey - PG 2/7 of 25 CPU shots;
Miami - PG 5/8 of 21 CPU shots;

Much bether than before, but still much!

I hope it is a sign that tuning sliders can solve that big problem.

The Pro-Hop and Drop Step sliders definitely have nothing to do with it, as they are specific moves, but common sense dictates that the two On-Ball Defense sliders would in fact account for the ease with which the CPU PG drives to the hoop.
