To me it's very hard to hit freethrows.I wish it would be like earlier Live series. What do you think?

I think it's great while your shooting you gotta feel like your shooting understand? (Y)

EDİT: also i like it very much ı would like to see practice mode just for free throws like free kick training in football games

I am all for the new FT shooting style. In '06 I would knock down an unrealistic amount of free throws with guys like Shaq or Big Ben... I like the new edge... It makes free throwing tougher thus more realistic :)

I have seen on free throws, pressing the shooting button, your player shoots automatically... is it posible to disable this feature in online games?

It's because I think it is better if you shoot the free throw by yourself, not to let the CPU shoot by itself... it is more realistic to shoot the free throws with the new FT shooting style...

Respect!!!

I dont like it much guys, I cant miss.. its ridiculous and very unrealistic to have 85% with Shaq. It's a pity coz the whole gameplay has become so much better in terms of realism, but not the FTs.

I like it except that it seems to choose randomly which way I have to press the stick first. Sometimes it's up, sometimes down.

And then when the camera changes angles, it's either left or right first.

I like it this way, but sometime have to pull up-then-down, instead of down-then-up, or a bit to the side etc. Is this a bug?

I have 07 on PC and have a generic dual analog gamepad connected. Somehow hitting freethrows can be also performed with holding and releasing the shoot button, is so much easier that way. Also (playing allstar difficulty with the default sliders) with an average freethrow shooter just holding the shoot button and not releasing it makes the basket everytime... so that kinda sucks.

You basically have to pull the left stick down and hold it until the player raises his hands to his head (or above) and the push the stick up so he releases it.

While shooting a free throw if you press the dunk button it tells how to shoot the FT. I'm not sure but it may be in the 'What's New' part which is in the game menu.

I like the idea of this new free throw shooting method. It seems more intuitive.

Agreed. One of the few innovations I actually liked (although, that no substitution thing also rocks ).

No you need to change it in the controller setup or whatever.

I have a question? :?: How does the freethrow work for specific players in Live 07? I mean for example, in reality Shaq holds his freethrow for about 3-5 seconds up before releasing it! Is that how it works in Live 07? It does in 2k7, you gotta hold it for like 3-5 seconds before releasing it.

Joejam, no offense, but you seem to be blindly defending the game. You don't change this in the controller setup... it randomizes which way you have to push the stick first nearly every time.

I think the new style of free throws is better. Just like in 2k6, EA has picked up one good thing at least.
