Most people are having the crash to desktop problem. Nobody can guaranty that you will have it.

itsn't the crash game problem only valid for those who downloaded the game from the EA site?

Fri Sep 29, 2006 5:55 pm

Nope, both versions.

crashes every single time you quit the game? or in few situations?

Fri Sep 29, 2006 7:02 pm

Every single time. Some people dont have the issue. But for me it crashes no matter what type of game I exit from. Doesnt matter what resolution. I messed with all of my drivers(I dont know why, every other game I have runs like a champ) and I tried this over 3 diffrent computers now. All 3 have diffrent hardware, and all of them exceed the requirements. The slowest one being a Athlon64 3000+ with a x800xt and 2gb of ram and onboard audio. The Midrange being an Athlon FX57 with x1950xtx, 2gb ram, and SB X-Fi XM. The Fastest being a E6600 Conroe with a 7900gt and 2gb ram.
All of them result in the same crash at any resolution, on any driver.

Im not going to continue to test it on machines. Im such a patient person, and this is really getting to me.

i doubt this, all who have this problem " game crash" then they should look to readme there is your answers

kiko - your problem should be your videocard, that videocard what you use:
1)may not have latest drivers
2) or game doesn't support that kind of videocard

I have the DVD and the game didn't crash even ones for me when i try to quit the match!

Sat Sep 30, 2006 12:33 am

Yeah I agree, check the read me for answers, but I'm sure we will figure this out somehow. As for me the only problem is that I get bored with it sometimes and I quit in the middle of a match.

Readme=worthless+no fix+solutions for people who dont know what a driver is. No solutions for seasoned PC gamers.

EA Sports games for PC=worthless

So it is not just an EA Downloader issue.. ack. Thanks for bringing that up.

I posted it in the petition thread, I think you should update the list when you get a chance, theres a few other bugs that need to be added that should be easy for EA to address.

BTW.. am I the only one that is going crazy here LOL

Sasser, your recommendation to read the readme.txt file is worthless. Sorry, but that file does jack, It is for incompetent turds who don't know how to turn on their monitor. Judging by Crystallas listing his specs, I'd say he knows a fair bit about hardware and software.

I installed 07 yesterday but only played 7 minutes. When I shut down with the close window button, it doesn't crash for me. And this particular machine I have is a regular Dell P2.8 Ghz w/HT and a 9800 pro, nothing special. I'm going to try it on 5 other machines with totally different configs and see how they stand up.

I was going crazy for a little while but I've come to grips with the fact that I have to buy a PS3/360 to get a playable basketball game (in other words 2K7). The more I play PC of Live version the funnier it gets. The game is so pathetic. I'm getting the feeling that sports games on PC are a thing of the past. It was fun while it lasted.
