Switch + block

I'm playing defence, and the offence player goes near basket and I switch players to my center and I wanna help the other defender defending that player who went at the basket, and my center wont block...nothing...don't wanna jump, steal, NOTHING
when you switch to help your team mate..NOTHING HAPPENS:..WTF...

damn this game is full of shitty bugs...
every year they put something new and they are making this game only worser...god damn
