The only real chance of EA fixing the issues is if a Major Retailer(s) steps up and puts pressure on them to fix the problems.
The reality is that EA doesn't give a hoot about the consumers, but they surely don't want to piss off their retail partners.
Andrew, you may want to send out your petition in a similar fashion to a press release. Send it to all the major game sites(ie. IGN) and send it to various major USA retailers. Stating that the current product is flawed the PS2 and Xbox version cannot be patched so why sell this version if it is likely to be returned.

EA is 0 for 4 this fall in Sports related PC games, Madden 07, NHL 07, NBA Live 07 and FIFA 07 have major/minor problems exposed with the first few days of release. So it should be pretty clear where their focus is.

yep, sure. they don't care about the people buying the game, they care about the people selling it.

of course they care about the consumers. if we stopped buying the game (which many have), they'll take notice.
