Controller Necessary?

Ive always been a keyboard user when it comes to NBA Live. I never bought 06, but I did hear that you couldn't back down when you use the keyboard? Could someone tell me if this is the case with 07 and how limited I will be if I only use the keyboard?
Also, if someone could suggest a good controller (preferably PS2 style) it would be great, thanks

There is a way to backdown with keyboard,but i suggest buying a Controler!

thanks for that. Just bought an adaptor for my PS2 controller to PC. Never knew it was possible, cant wait for it to arrive
