Foot Planting on Next Gen

I dont know about you guys but this new feature looks horrible on the gameplay vids that i have seen so far, it seems as if players do not face the basket at the right times and basically sidestep around the court, when someone is moving in a certain direction they always seem to be facing the wrong way and moving akwardly

anyone else notice this? its the main reason i am sticking to Current Gen

i think as long as we play with those circles under the feet of the players, there is always gonna be an extra sliding effect. THe circles somehow make the effect stronger to the eye. The footplanting i have seen is okay so far only the circles still make you think they are sliding. If you concentrate on the feet, you'll see that it isnt the case as much as it was.

Don't sick to current-gen. They reached their limit in 2005. Get a next-gen game. I like both but this year I'm getting 2K first.
Come and join my NBA league.

foot planting & procedure awareness are two inexplicable new features of this game.

foot planting TECHNOLOGY - just a more realistic moving animation, it shouldn't be called a technology, and as it seems in the vids, it's not making the moves realistic.

procedure awareness - What's the point of this function? we haven't see it. It doesn't matter to me if the player looking at the ball or not when he is not having the ball.
I am looking forward to the day that NBA Live would become playable again...

the awareness is a nice thing for replays etcetera, but after a while we getsick of the replays anyway and turn them off. In my opinion the players with high OFF and DEF awareness should have more procedure awareness than guys who suck in D. they dont always know where the ball is.

I really don't see the problem with referring to it as "technology" since foot planting has come about due to an update of the game engine; the technology. The name is hardly important anyway, you can call it whatever you like so long as it works. Personally I don't think the videos really do it justice compared to what I saw at the Community Day.

Procedural awareness is also intended to make the players aware of their surroundings and react to the action accordingly, in addition to the players simply moving their head to watch the ball.
